    Running CAT POE through return air ducts.

    Are you sure that this is actually a return duct? I don't know if anyone else does this but my dad likes to cover up holes in the wall/ceiling with a register rather than repairing the drywall. So maybe that register was just an access.

    Awesome thanks! I was using an older Onkyo receiver and I upgraded to the latest DirecTV receivers. Everything worked great but when I went to enable 4K resolution it failed because the Onkyo didn't support 2.2

    What do you use for a Router? Need replacement advice

    I bought a Unifi edgerouter at first but then purchased the Unifi security gateway (USG) because it integrates with the other Unifi products. I would go with the USG. Edit.....since you also need wifi grab one or more of the Unifi WAP's as others have advised. I am using the AC-AP-Pro.

    Are all of your cameras identical? Are they directly connected to the NVR or external POE switch? If everything is working except for 3 cameras it seems like you did everything correctly and there is just a problem with those three cams (obviously).

    I just installed my IPC-HFW5431-Z5 and so far its working well. Still need to fine tune my settings. Day time no issues on full auto. For night I tried the 1/2000 shutter speed and it seems to work well. Camera is at full zoom and pointing straight up the street. I am at the end of a culdesac.

    You dont need any junction box or additional mount for this camera. So yes you can mount on vertical wall.
