Why is this happening? Corrupt video

Update - I noticed the FPS drops to around 7 (from 15) on the cameras that are showing this scrambled pink video.

Why is this happening? Corrupt video

I can't seem to use any version of BI beyond 5.2.5.3 without this happening to a few of my feeds. I've tried re-inspecting the video and it's good for a bit, but then the video gets all pixelated/pink like the attached image. Thank you

Blue Iris 4 to 5 Migration Guide

I've just been leaving the BI4 install in place, removing any shortcuts, and renaming the exes so they don't get launched. Upgrading to v5 has been super quick and easy.

External access to one camera stream

Can I ask how you target one camera in OBS Studio? Are you just capturing the screen as you have that camera pulled up? Or, is there a way to target just that camera in OBS Studio? I ask because I will only have the one computer on-site. It will be running Blue Iris and whatever streaming...

External access to one camera stream

Oooh, I like the idea of a YouTube stream. Is the camera working with OBS Studio also being monitored by Blue Iris? I'll check that out, thanks.

External access to one camera stream

I am working with a local baseball league (non-profit) that wants to set up a few cameras to keep an eye on their baseball field. They're also wondering if they can have one camera set up to stream games to a small number (< 100) of users over the web. I'm good on getting the Blue Iris...

I removed all my mobile devices from the config, logged in again, and now I receive the push notifications. Shrugs. :)

Nothing else changed in my environment. I'll triple check.

Limit access to one camera - Camera Groups?

I need to allow a user in to one of my systems, but they only need access to one camera. If I create a unique username for them and limit them to a group via Users > Edit User > Access > Limit to camera groups... will that accomplish what I need? The result I want is for them to login via the...

Can't access Blue Iris from local network

Ok, thank you for the input. I'm on my home network right now (not the system in my first post). I'm using an R7000 running Adv Tomato with no special configuration other than port forwarding. I am able to hit my WAN IP and get my BlueIris UI3 login screen. Is that not the same type of...

Can't access Blue Iris from local network

Agreed that it is ideal to access local resources using local addresses... the overall connectivity issue is bugging me though. :) FWIW - An example of why I might only use the WAN address in Blue Iris: If the client is on the local network via WiFi, but the signal is so poor that the...

Can't access Blue Iris from local network

I understand that. I prefer to configure the iOS app to only use the WAN address. I still should be able to hit the remote address from the local network. I can do it all my other networks (including the one I'm on right now).

Can't access Blue Iris from local network

EDIT: This sums it up pretty nicely --> Cannot access LAN with WAN address from within my LAN Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Original Post: I'm pulling my hair out over this one... I've got a Windows 10 (build 1903) machine running the latest Blue Iris (v5.x) sitting behind a Wave 2...

Blue Iris 4 to 5 Migration Guide

If I'm reinstalling my OS and want to take my BI version from 4 to 5 -- not really an upgrade as I don't need to transfer any of my configuration -- how do I get a valid key for the 5 install? Is that what comes out of the extended support ($29) process? Thanks

    HFW43000S - help with keystone

Thanks for the chart! Can you clarify what you mean by the order being incorrect? From the chart, it looks like I would need to remove the jumper between Blue and Blue/White. EDIT: I'll also try stripping the jackets from the pigtails wires and see if that makes a difference. Thx for the...

    HFW43000S - help with keystone

I have a HFW43000S that had its network jack removed due to corrosion. I've been trying to get a CAT5e keystone to work, but I don't think I have the wiring quite right. When I connect it to PoE, I hear a click, but the camera never registers on the network. I've checked for IP conflicts...

Long cable run, issues with connectivity

Good to know, thank you. Yes I used 568b. I'll check the manufacturer of the cable. EDIT: The cable is Dripstone (Amazon-sourced) 24AWG pure copper.

Long cable run, issues with connectivity

I'm new to ePOE... is it sufficient to use an ePOE camera and ePOE switch with Blue Iris as the "brain" of the system? Or, do I need to have an ePOE NVR as well?

Long cable run, issues with connectivity

I have a three-camera install with one camera about 250-300' away from the POE switch. The long-distance camera has been working sufficiently for a few months, but every now and then the feed gets a little choppy. Over the weekend it just dropped off the network. It jumped back on early...

Dahua camera with audio through Blue Iris?

Thanks for the suggestion. Are all the Dahua turrets with audio capable of sending audio to Blue Iris? Just wondering as I've installed a Dahua-HDW5231R-Z previously and was unaware of it's audio capabilities.

Dahua camera with audio through Blue Iris?

I typically do not use cameras that feature audio, but I have a friend that would like audio through Blue Iris. Are there are Dahua cameras that would support this? I'm looking int he $75-100 range. I only have CAT6 run to the camera locations, no option to run any additional wiring. Thank...

FPS in application lower than value set on camera

UPDATE 2: FPS seems to be stable now. Seems the combo of changing camera settings and acceleration to off did the trick?

FPS in application lower than value set on camera

UPDATE: Been out of town so I haven't had much time to test. One thing I noticed is that the playback on alerts is not smooth. The video is jumpy (which I expected), but so is the time stamp at the top. I changed the acceleration to none and restarted the system. FPS looks good now, we'll...

I will try that in the AM. I appreciate your suggestions.

FPS in application lower than value set on camera

I've made those changes. The FPS still seems to jump from full (15 fps or 25 fps depending on camera) down to about half. The bitrate kB/s are lower now.

FPS in application lower than value set on camera

Only one of the cameras is running full res: While the other five are set to: How full is the 4tb hard drive ? 2.9 TB free How full is the SSD ? 100 GB free How is the harddrive connected to the computer, USB 1 2 3, SATA... ? Both hard drives are SATA on the motherboard.
