    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

I was confused at first as I thought there was no other place than video where you can do that while assuming that the same credentials to login to the camera directly must be the only thing entered there but I tried it anyway and it spazzed out loading all the presets. Works now thank you...

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

I've tried every combination as far as I know but I did forget to switch it from the Hikvision RTSP drop down for video back to ONVIF after adding that ONVIF account. For PTZ it was on ONVIF but i've cycled through the two Hikvision options as well to no avail. Right now everything is set to...

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Is that all of it? Anywhere i'm supposed to enter those credentials in BI after creating the account? I've saved it and still same error unfortunately.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Hey thanks, I assume it's a private account for local use only? Should I make it the same as the camera's credentials? While I have ONVIF enabled you're right I didn't have or knew I needed to make an account for it to work.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

My gray came stock with 5.5.0 luckily and 0 problems aside from that RTSP Auth being set to digest by default and the illegal login lock. Didn't have to use spacers in the mount but man I wish they mentioned the metric needed for those packaged expansion screws. It's just under a half inch but...

Error 8000007a and Hikvision Illegal Login Lock [solved]

For anyone else that experiences this issue and can't resolve it with the illegal login lock setting please see this thread: Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Wow so I was intently comparing the difference between the stock settings on this cam vs my DS-2CD2T42WD-I5 and on a whim in System>Security>Authentication I noticed that on my working cam "RTSP Authentication" is set to Basic whereas on the new one its default is "digest" so I changed it to...

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

As a good example I just noticed the enable illegal login is enabled for other cameras and they never have had any issue. At the same time those firmware's are not 5.5+

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Hey I've already given that a try when I saw it here Error 8000007a and Hikvision Illegal Login Lock [solved] and here IP CAMERA: Illegal Login Enabling or disabling it hasn't changed the result for me unfortunately. I always use the SADP tool and changing the password hasn't helped. I know...

Error 8000007a and Hikvision Illegal Login Lock [solved]

This is just caused from the camera automatically reattempting connection too many times. A couple of us have the same error except can't get BI to pickup the stream at all even with it off and with it working when logged in directly..

    Logitech c930e mjpg

I actually just added this camera myself and wondering the same thing. I had a bit of trouble adding it to BI until I realized it was the audio on Directshow causing the problem. Switching it to IP Streaming resolved the no signal issue but other than that I've currently settled on the 5fps..

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Not sure if it's related but in basic network settings when I test the ip address it returns "the address is not used"? Then again it seems to do that for working cameras too.

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Regarding searching the ip I've already done that and searched without. I noticed ONVIF was disabled during the troubleshooting but enabling did not help. I had turned it back off but now I enabled it in integration protocol, rebooted the camera and BI and still same issue although searching...

Hey I've done that numerous times yet the conflict persists.

Weird No Signal Issue With New PTZ (UN/PW)

Currently going crazy trying to understand why my new DS-2DE4A220IW keeps coming up as No Signal Error 8000007a (Check Port/User/Password) 0 despite the ip, port and user/pw being 100% correct and everything power cycled AND working fine when logging directly into camera! I've never had this...

Best Blue Iris setting for less false alerts due to windy cloud shadows?

Good to know thank you. I read that at Security-Camera-Warehouse and had took their word for it, glad I asked!

Best Blue Iris setting for less false alerts due to windy cloud shadows?

"A normal PC hard drive will most likely burn out within 6-8 months from the strain of recording several video feeds 24/7." So this statement isn't true and the western digital specific drives are for what then?

Best Blue Iris setting for less false alerts due to windy cloud shadows?

Its been working fine to detect anything else while at 10% thus far.. Is my pixel travel too low? I can't do continuous recording at the moment so as not to wear out the drive. I'm using a PC and don't have a surveillance rated drive installed currently. Continuous recording seems more viable...

Best Blue Iris setting for less false alerts due to windy cloud shadows?

Add me to the list. I've mostly used 10% for object size exceeds with an object travels setting of 30 pixels and cancel shadows enabled. I feel like the pixel travel might be triggering the light changes before the object size can reset it so I bumped it up from 15 to 30 which still might be...

How important is one megapixel to you?

No offense but still not what i'm saying nor am I chasing megapixels or else I wouldn't ask the question..i'm chasing value. All being equal as in it were a 2mp starlight vs a 3mp starlight for example and it was literally identical then still? I've been hearing answers on both sides of the...

How important is one megapixel to you?

That's why I made sure to say all else being equal. As in, when there's 2 versions of the same camera with the only difference being the additional megapixel..
  22. TheWhiteKnight

How important is one megapixel to you?

You don't think price and megapixel are related if it were a 2mp difference either? As in a 2mp or 4mp assuming all else were equal i.e. Both have same IR and tech.
  23. TheWhiteKnight

How important is one megapixel to you?

This is more of a 2 part question. The other question being, If price were no concern and all else were equal, do you believe an extra megapixel provides a significant amount of additional detail to help with the identification of a suspect?

Narrowing down on the best PTZ dome camera for my application.

I agree, the problem is the new models i'm looking at are somewhat lacking in available information being so new. I've seen footage for most of them however thanks to youtube and this forum and read some great articles on networkcameracritic. I've been stuck on the 2 models fenderman put me...

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

Culprit confirmed. "Sync with computer time" was disabled so despite the correct time zone, scheduling in BI, scheduled switch for image settings and day/night switch all being in sync, the manual time sync was still off by an hour without that feature enabled therefore causing an hour delay in...

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

So today I left it alone completely and there was about an hour after sunset that the image was almost completely dark but I left it alone and then it started working properly on its own for the first time. I think when I was doing the hard resets was right around the time it was going to work...

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

It's powered over a cat5e ethernet to a 4 port unmanaged switch if that's what you mean? I'll try the physical force/assistance tonight!

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

And now it suddenly works again without me doing anything? The hard reset must be a slow solution. Tomorrow i'm going to see if it resolves itself on its own and if not I'll time how long until it starts working again after the hard reset. Are there any potential settings conflicts that could...

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

Well I think you're right about the cut filter. It happened again today except now a hard reset will not resolve the issue. Is this repairable or is it time to replace? Barely lasted me 6 months..

IR stopped working but I can still see it on?

I power cycled the switch not BI and i'm not a pro how am I supposed to know a feature that says "Restart Camera" in BI doesn't actually do that? My main question is if this is normal or a sign that my camera is on its last leg?
