Just installed mine over the weekend. It works fine in the Amcrest Smart Home App and Alexa through the skill but no dice in BlueIris. The IP shows up in the Amcrest IP Config App but I cannot connect to it. Going to the Doorbell's IP address directly does not present me with a login screen... -

In the morning, in the afternoon after the nearby school gets out and in the evening this intersection is very busy and there's cars going both ways on our street every few seconds to minutes. Second screen grab points across the yard the other way so it is busy that way too. I'm not sure how... -

True but if you don't have any cash up front it'll get you by for a while. I figure that old i7 probably will cost you about $40 per month though so it isn't long before upgrading your system makes perfect sense. -

Here's my CPU which is an i5 4690k Devils Canyon with 4 cams running, but I have them at a pretty high bit rate. As I add more cams, I'll drop that back a bit. Note that MicroSoft Security Essentials (MsMpEng.exe) is running but that's 25% of total CPU power so you need some overhead. ifgxEM.exe... -

I'm a Blue Iris and Emby User. I use the Security Camera Plugin in Emby. The advantage is being able to switch Emby to the Plugin Channel quickly if watching TV on Emby with merely the remote where as getting to the Blue Iris Console or finding my phone (I know it is sitting right next to me!)... -

That brings me back to the possible need for another PC. Looking at resource monitor I see that BI averages about 6.5% CPU and BI Tools yet another 1.5%, totaling 8%. Other operations running on this PC make up the rest and sometimes they are pretty high, spiking CPU clock ticks up into the 50%... -
