Kind of need more info about what you are trying to do.. Personally turn off UpNP in all devices and best to turn it off in your router so one can't sneak on that you forgot to turn off.. I screwed up...broke the plastic part that accepts the rj45 jack
Yes as in picture, most come setup so the parts can connect even to cables with ends already in place like yours. Adding that part will keep the 2 ends together. Good news is the important part is still there. Now take the Water proof cap, Take the screw part put over the cable, now take the rubber gasket and put on in front and slide the boot over.
