    Just looking for some that will blend in better. The owner isnt crazy about seeing cameras out in the open he thinks it will make patrons uncomfortable. I told him Seeing the cameras is a deterrent to thieves but I told him I would do some research and see what I could come up with.

    That's what I've been doing. And honestly for being able to use cameras from the old systems I'm replacing they do work very well for the price. I guess as I splurge on better cameras I will learn the differences as I go. Thanks guys

    Good one on the search. Your right I've been constantly testing the settings I think I'm running into that it's a cheap camera from off the shelf system. I will look into the DaHua camera you mentioned. I put a Dahua PTZ in here and love it. I believe I need to get a camera with the shutter...

    I can't for the life of me find where to turn this email alert off. As far as I'm seeing I have all my alerts turned off. I believe it started when messing around with watchdog settings but(And I'm laughing at myself right now) I just can't seem to find what I'm missing. Help me out guys.

    Try playing with the (Make time) under the Trigger---configure settings. Im in the process of dialing in a camera on a doorway to catch people as they come in. Its tricky to get it right. Im new here to but I believe this is the right place to start at least

    The tablet is the way to go. The UI3 is really amazing when you really look at all the tools that come with it. Try it out with a tablet and see how it works, but speaking from experience the Web interface on anything works great for monitoring on WIFI.

    Just the heck of it I changed the path to C:/program files/Blue Iris 4/WWW and Im watching the log file. So far no more errors. It was pumping them out every 10 seconds. I think this might have done it.

    I am using H.264 I don't see H.265 in BI camera settings. And yes I have Direct-to-disk enabled on all cameras as well. And thanks for the suggestion of stepping frame by frame what a difference that makes when trying to catch something.

    Ok one more question about the FPS. Since I see how much CPU processing Im saving by going from 30fps to 15fps where else am I going to see the benefits and what negatives might I experience at the lower fps

    2MP and I have them all set at 15fps. still holding strong at 60% on my current system. Unbelievable how much improvement when I went down to 15fps.
