Ok I checked and it is the same as the routers IP. So I tried to change it but it kept going back to the same numbers. I'm a computer dummy when it involves network and routers. Especially when trying to change things. So for now I'll just keep the laptop in airplane mode and the cameras...
Hello, I wanted to get back to you and let you know that I finally got the camera to work. I actually had to look up online on how to find my computers IP address and all that kind of stuff. I'm really not computer savvy at all but am learning as I go. But anyway I managed to get it working. I'm...
Thank you very much for responding and sorry for late reply. I will try these instructions today after I get home from work. Thanks and I will let you know when I get to the end of your instructions. Kind Regards
Hello, it's been awhile since I was on here. I moved about two years ago and tried to reinstall my poe camera
IPC-HFW8232EP-ZE but I got stuck on setting things up. At the other house I had a friend help me over the internet and I forgot what he typed in and did. I have the ethernet cables and...
It's been awhile since I've been on here but does anyone have any suggestions for a camera that has full color night vision that doesn't require ir lights to see in full color? The camera would have to be able to clearly resolve the stars in the night sky with no video noise. I own the...
Hello, I'm wanting to know if anyone has any knowledge or experience in removing the IR cut filter in a hfw8232e-z
I'm wanting to make my hfw8232e-z a full-spectrum camera. I'm a sky watcher and would use it for that purpose.
If the ir cut filter is removed would there be any focusing issues...
I think you can but a laptop computer with internet is required to run the program. I'm not an expert with cameras so I may be wrong. Hopefully someone can help you. If not I would google that particular model.
But generally you need a DVR, a laptop computer. Or just a laptop computer. Once your...
The last I heard was that there was a firmware bug with this particular model that wouldn't allow the new update. Things may have been ironed out by now but I'm not sure on that. It's been awhile since I've been on. Hopefully someone here can shed light on this.
I mean dont get me wrong I'm happy that the pal got changed to ntsc 60fps but I'm still concerned with why the camera wont take the newest firmware for the hfw8232's. That newest firmware should work on my camera since it's a hfw8232 but it does not. That's the problem.
I tried upgrading the camera to the latest 2018 firmware and it would not take it. The firmware that he just gave me that changed the camera to ntsc has the same firmware numbers as the firmware that came with the camera. So your misunderstanding what's going on. I already tried the newest...
Well Andy gave me a firmware that changed the camera to ntsc 60fps. So we were able to fix the problem. Very happy with the fix. Thanks Andy and Turisto.
I just recently bought an ipc-hfw8232ep-ze from Andy off of Amazon.
I have tried flashing it over to the newest firware version and it just wont work. I've tried several times. With internet explorer and smartpss. I'm thinking this particular model with the current firmware cannot be upgraded...
Hello, new here. I'm wanting to buy an hfw8232 Dahua camera from EmpireAndy but all I see on Aliexpress is one with No Logo and Pal. Also are these genuine Dahau cameras? I've never bought from Aliexpress so I'm very skeptical. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks And if someone can point me in...
Hello, new to the forum.
I was wondering if the IMX385LQR was better than the sensor in the hfw8232 Dahua bullet camera? Does anyone have experience with the IMX385LQR? I'm wanting to use a starlight camera to sky watch just like the fellow did on youtube.
Not sure if there is something better...
Hello, new member here.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
