If I choose sv3c It lists the 960p camera but not these ones, if I select it I get error 400. The other option is sv3c rtsp. I've just tried inspect and it came up as foscam compatible and the path is livestream/11 onvif 8999, this appears to work. Will see what it's like in daytime, thank you

Tried that, even reinstalled bi. They come up as generic rtsp, obviously not suited to bi. Will try a different make of camera. Thanks

    Choppy video blur

I've already excluded from anti virus, pc is i7 3.4ghz 32gb ram. VLC is smooth at night @ 14fps and a little jerky daytime @ 20fps Bi very jerky day and slightly less at night

    Choppy video blur

Yes on export, all direct to disk. FPS has dropped to 14 again now it's night, I've no idea why. All cams set at 25fps though this has never been achieved day or night

    Choppy video blur

ok so today iv'e set all 4 cameras up and set them at 25fps in the cam gui. (all POE) In BI they are set to max 25fps in the Video tab and im getting 14.29fps and jerky but in VLC it is smooth and if i record in vlc the saved file details say 13fps. So, why am i only getting 14fps and why is...

Thanks, they say it's correct for 15fps and to turn it up. Mine are the same at 25fps. So this is normal. Thanks

VLC the same as is the browser player PC performance fine (i7 3.4ghz 32gb ram) I think they're just poor cameras, cheap though when you buy one get 3 free

I understand you don't get broadcast quality but when someone walks past or a car drives past I expect it not to look like they keep stopping and then skip forward. I assume the manufacturer doesn't expect it as they keep sending me more. Thanks for your help, I'll try another one.

    Choppy video blur

Yes that's right, I take it it's trial an error as these aren't ment to be choppy according to the manufacturer.

    Choppy video blur

1080p Poe Bullet I've tried from 5fps to 25fps, makes no difference. If I try 1fps I get 1 frame then a second later I get 2 quick frames then a second later one frame, even 1 FPS is inconsistent.

    Choppy video blur

It won't actually be positioned here, this was just testing. It will be capturing vehicles driving along a private road. Even people walking past is choppy.

Thanks, I have limit preview disabled and direct to disk enabled. No combination of bitrate and FPS make any difference. Just poor quality cameras I suppose. I ideally need at least one that is smooth so any recommendations for the lowest cost camera that is smooth, thank you.

    Choppy video blur

It's x3 SV3C 1080p POE Bullet and x1 Dome They still say they should be smooth but I just can't get them smooth not even in lowest settings on sub stream. Thanks

    Choppy video blur

Thank you, I don't see anything in the GUI for these settings, would I need to use a different tool? The seller tells me it should be smooth at over 15fps bit even at 1fps it jerks like occasionally there is an extra frame so traffic moves like - - - - - - - - - - - I must be...

    Choppy video blur

Hi, I needed to setup some cameras urgently but as funds didn't allow it at this time I purchased a cheap IP camera as a start. Obviously it's not brilliant bit what annoys me is how choppy the stream is, passing traffic just jerk past no matter what settings I use, low fps or high, low bitrate...
