Latest Blue Iris 5 and Onvif Profile T

I appreciate that input. I am able to use one way audio and the quality is maybe a little better than walkie talkie. But that quality would be fine to tell the delivery driver to leave the items at the door and to yell at the kids to get off the lawn. :0) My front door is enclosed and the...

Latest Blue Iris 5 and Onvif Profile T

Audio doesn't follow a ONVIF standard and two way talk with cameras is mostly like walkie talkie. Best to go with a doorbell camera designed for two-way. A favorite here is the Reolink doorbell thst works with BI, but that is the only device recommended by reolink.

    Cameras recording too late

He mentions the camera is a reolink and they are notorious for making the iframe whatever they want. We have seen people post their BI camera status page where the KEY is 0.10 which means if an object is in and out of the field of view in under 10 seconds, it could be missed.

    Choice of IP cameras

Welcome @Legolas84 1) "The features I would like are: 4K, input audio, recognition of people, cars, animals, recording only when it detects people, good color night vision considering that each camera will be accompanied by a LED light that will illuminate the area at night when it detects...

    Choice of IP cameras

...(PoE). I'm new to the topic so I'm trying to learn something that will allow me to make good choices within my budget. I was about to choose Reolink cameras, but reading you I already understood that it would be the first mistake, and perhaps not the only one. So I decided to register and ask...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

One would think that changing the RF carrier would result in a hardware revision number change, but not all companies do it right. UniFi stubbornly insists on calling 5 different products by the same name, even though they can be vastly different creatures.

Why do Amazon delivery drivers lie?

An update on my April 11th post: I sent my evidence to CSI in Las Vegas and they were able to work their forensic magic....my posted sign is clearly reflected in the UPS driver's sunglasses, proof that he looked at the sign. Whether or not he read or comprehended is another story....he may be a...

baby cam, pet cam that works with BI with 2 way audio?

BI may someday, if the developer gets enough requests. I encourage you to email their support and ask for it as I and others have asking that BI support 2-way audio with the Reolink Doorbell.

Need help with powering the Reolink RLC-811A

Yep, just learned about that from another thread. Still wondering why Toons and others are livid about the brand, not just the cameras. Back to the switches...these Reolink switches are not proprietary, are they? They will work with other camera brands, right?

Need help with powering the Reolink RLC-811A

I think it's mainly the cameras and probably the nvrs too. Having said that, they have a doorbell camera that is quite popular on these forums. I use one of the poe sensor lights. No camera, just a sensor light that is poe. That works perfectly fine.

Need your feedback for these two Empire NVRs

Is it because of the stigma that comes with the brand or is there something wrong with the switch? Is it proprietary?

Need help with powering the Reolink RLC-811A

Ok now I get the picture why to stay away from Reolink cameras. :) But that does not explain why to avoid the brand altogether. Their RLA-PS1 POE switches got good reviews on Amazon. Is there a reason to avoid them too? Or, is it just the cameras?

Reolink cameras are garbage and their reddit moderators are unprofessional trunk slammers

I have a few other old reolinks, not defending those, moved away a long time ago. Nor the early doorbell firmware. But as I said, the doorbell is solid now on the latest firmware.

We have numerous documentation on issues with Reolink cameras, firmware, as well as the company .. do see the various threads on Reolink where it is shown and documented ..

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I opened a ticket with Reolink, and Support confirms the bad news (emphasis mine): This isn't even true, as I clearly have paired one doorbell camera with 2 chimes. The problem is that I can't pair one chime with two doorbell cameras.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I personally try to stay away from clouds. I did use the EZVIZ App when I had my LaView DB (Hik/DB1 variant) but now with ReoLink I do not use their Cloud/App. What drew many of us to the ReoLink is their POE version. No more RF signal issues with WiFi, plus much more secure... The video...
