I've had no problem setting it up with a gmail account to send e-mail triggered event notifications to one receiver but trying to add a 2nd or 3rd recipient to also get the email doesn't seem to work.
As you can see in the screenshot, only the first email listed under Receiver even gets a...
Is it normal to get a UAC prompt in order to start iVMS?
I'm using version 6.2.6 build20170719 but it's done this with all the version I've used.
If there is a way to start it without admin access, that would be great. If there isn't, does anyone know why it requires those rights?
I haven't mounted the cameras permanently yet but it's most noticeable at night:
It's less obvious during daylight when the camera isn't in night mode but it's still very noticeable.
I've messed around with some image settings like adjusting WDR and turning it off completely with no...
Having a + symbol in an email address is a RFC standard (Email address - Wikipedia) but I can't get the Hikvision setup area to accept it when I try and input an email with a "+" in the Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Email area:
Is this just a bug/limitation of the firmware...
That's specific model number isn't listed in tinyCam and I'm wondering what the best alternative model to select for it would be?
tinyCam has Hikvision DS-2CD2042-I that it supports and it seems to work fine with my initial testing but there is also another one with WD in the model number. It...
Unlike my DS-2CD2032-I cameras that can go to 1/3 in the Exposure Settings. The 2042 doesn't go any lower than 1/30. Is there some other setting I need to change before it can be set lower or does the 2042 just not support it?
Settings screenshot from DS-2CD2042WD-I with firmware V5.5.0 build...
It seems like Hikvision software and firmware is spread out all over the place with more recent versions available on some sites but not others. For example, at Hikvision USA iVMS-4200 has 2.6.1.2 as the most recent version but if I go to Hikvision Europe there is an even newer version...
I'm not using a NVR, just the software included on the camera to record motion and snapshots to a SMB share.
Right now I need the camera itself to access those recordings and pictures in any kind of organized way because they are just a mess of directories and 256mb files on the harddrive...
I'm using a Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera.
I've searched and found a few topics briefly discussing the Capture Mode setting but none of them provide any real clarity of what the purpose of this setting is.
I don't get how it's different from the resolution and frame rate that you can set under...
I bought a couple of these:
HIKVISION V5.3.3 4MP International Version POE IP Bullet Camera Security DS-2CD2042WD-I 4mm firmware upgradeable
I read from the amazon description on the link I bought them that they were upgradable to at least v5.3.6 but the closest to that I can find this site...
Stupidly I tried to upgrade the firmware with the latest version I downloaded from Hikvision not realizing that I had an unauthorized Hikvision camera and it completely stopped working.
I've went through a bunch of guides that I found stickied here and the only one that even brought moderate...
