Assuming the camera is English with English days of the week on the OSD, I think this is more likely a NVR firmware problem - too old? I don't actually use NVRs but I remember reading something about had to use newer NVR firmware to support the 2xx5 (G0) models. Or even that old NVR models...

You can only use TFTP as I said if you decide you want to change. I wouldn't recommend it though unless you really need to or don't care about the Chinese part.

If it's WR region I would TFTP latest firmware for this camera. It will both reset the configuration and also change the code used. Try a different power supply. Check camera has no loose cables inside. If it still fails I'm thinking faulty camera.
