    Problems shutting down and updating

I was having the same problem recently. I determined that if I shutdown "Blue Iris Tools", the BI update would work perfectly.

Upgraded BI4 to BI5. Event Schedule profile selections inverted

Yes looey2ns. But, in BI4 the first scheduled item in the above sample has all profiles selected. When I start BI5 I get all grayed out, or not selected in the second sample. I don't want to have to go through and change all of my event schedules just because I upgraded to BI5.

Upgraded BI4 to BI5. Event Schedule profile selections inverted

I recently decided to upgrade my BI4 to BI5. I had hoped that all problems with upgrading had been corrected. What happened is that all of my scheduled events quit working. Since I hadn't deleted BI4 yet, I ran BI4 and all scheduled events worked as programmed. After testing I concluded that...

Some cameras have an asterisk against them?

The camera that has the asterisk after its name is probably a clone. All of my clones have that asterisk.

    Manual recording location

Depending on how you have your recording combine and cut settings, the manually recorded video may just be included inside your normal combined video, and no extra clip is created.

You might try searching the word "export" in the help file.

    Cameras and Clones swapping

The word "group" is a little confusing because it is not the same group as camera groups. The "Designated group master" indicates that this camera is the only camera with the same IP that will pull a stream.

    Cameras and Clones swapping

Make sure that you have the original cameras marked as "Designated group master" on the camera video tab.

Test run video through motion detector and profiles

Try changing the profile before you run the clip.

Test run video through motion detector and profiles

You are correct, the clip does not save the profile setting. When you run the clip it uses the current profile. But, you should be able to change Blueiris to the profile that was used for the recording, then view the clip using the correct settings for the clip.

Automatic export of alert video snippet

Not sure if this is would work for you, but I send myself an email with an attached MP4. This is setup under alerts. It only allows a 30 second video, but usually captures all I need. The email server then has a copy offline, and I can retrieve from anywhere.

How to enable a camera after it was disabled?

Another easy way to find a disabled camera. Click on "Blue Iris Status", select "Cameras" tab. All cameras will be listed there, even disabled ones. Right click on the camera IP and the camera setup page will popup. You can then enable the camera, or make changes.

    BI bug 4.7.6.5 ?

Two cameras with the same IP, one of them would be a clone. Only one pulls the stream. The one with the asterisk would be the clone. But it can change, so the following change to BI was made. (Even with this change I am still having problems) What's new from Update 4.7.6 - June 6, 2018 You...

    BI bug 4.7.6.5 ?

I had the same problem on earlier versions. I emailed support. On the last update he added a new checkbox "Designated group master" on the Camera Video tab. This was supposed to keep this from happening, but it does not seem to work. When restarting BI it still seems to depend on which...

    Override motion zone doesn't work

Wootapa. Are you playing back a recorded video and using test run video through motion detector. If so BI will use the global mask because the saved video does not save the preset setting.

    Override motion zone doesn't work

I use the "Override motion zones" settings. I have found a way to see if it is actually working for you. On the camera setup page trigger/motion sensor select "Black-out masked areas". Then move the camera using the presets, and you can see the black-out area change with the new preset.

    Convert/export to BVR?

You seem to be correct. I did not see a way to export to a BVR. I personally export to AVI which can be viewed with many applications. Also the exported AVI can still be viewed in Blueiris.

    Amazon Echo commands

No skill needed. The one thing that you must do is enable UPNP on your router before discovery. After BlueIris is discovered, you can disable UPNP on the router, it is not needed for the commands, only the discovery.

Can't Switch Cameras on the UI2 page

In the black menu bar at the top, look for "Current Camera:". Under "Current Camera:" you can select what cameras you are viewing. When you change this it also changes the clips, but if you change what the clips are viewing it does not change Current Camera.

    Alexa not discovering Blue Iris

Yes, I got it to work on Windows 10, though there are others that have reported problems. I followed the instructions from BlueIris. BlueIris added a device named "Amazon Echo" to Mobile Devices tab. Under Alexa, BlueIris devices show up as Hue Lights.
