Hi all My HDW4431C-A Lags ever 2-3 second With h.265... but with the same settings but with H.264H it runs fluently I have tried changing almoast all settings while running H.265 but nothing seems to help. It lags when viewing through the NVR's vga output. It lags in my pcs Smartpss Any idea...

Did you have the P (onboard poe) version of the Nvr? if so how load is it. Since i have heard other people describing them as near vacuum cleaner noise (60-70db+)

Yeah i discovered that as well. The camera will probably be the DH-IPC-HDW4431C-A But i am still very much undecided with the NVR.

I was told by a AliExpress seller that the 4216-4K is mixed codec. Meaning it could only do 8 cams @ H.264 and 8 cams on H.265 and not all cams running H.265. But their replies are rather cryptic to understand, so i could be mistaken.

I just thought that 6 x 2k cameras @ 25fps would eat up a lot more bandwidth. Which is why i was initially looking at the 5216-4ks2 (quadcore) 320Mbps model. But with what i learned from you, that would be crazy overkill :) And i was even thinking of using H.265 which would decrease the...

Isn't fps also a factor in the calculation? and what video compression you use, H.264 / H.265 The reason i ask is because I was looking at the 4216 paired with 6 x 2560x1440p @ 25fps cameras. According to Dahua the camera video max bitrate is 11.25 So that would be 6 x 11.25 = around 67Mbps...

Great. I will be using my cams with POE so i just have 1 cable per camera. I just wanted to know if i had to have a second cable for audio. :)

Does anybody know where i can get the firmware updates for Dahua's network camera's and nvr's ?

Not really. I just saw the Dahua units have a higher bandwidth and heard that the interface is better (more pretty) But i did not really find a Dahua camera i like. I prefered 2560x1440p @ 25 fps with wdr.

I half decided for the Dahua Nvr 4208-8p-4k But one thing that is unclear to me is this line from their website. "Up to 8ch@1080P(4ch@H.265+4ch@H.264) realtime live-view" So is 4 of the cameras in H.265 and the other 4 in H265?

While you guys enjoy your weekend i am still working :( But i did manage to finde the new Dahua Nvr's that support H.265 but then i would have to give up the POE support from the Nvr :( I will continue to search if the have one that support both.

Another thing i am worried about is storage. Following this guide from Western Digital 6 cameras, stored for 7 days, @1080,30fps with H.264 it requeres 5.7TB Now if i go 4mp instead of 2mp(1080p) it will requere alot more storage. Or should i take that guide with a grain of salt?

The room is 100 square meters so each cable from camera to the nvr would max be 30-40 meters. The cables are around the same price, so why not get the highest category :) Btw is POE lan cable exactly the same as normal lan cables? Yeah i saw quite many of them are 4mp@20 fps/1080p@30fps. 20...

Yeah it would be great if it completely prevented theft. No matter what it will at least bring it down.
