I can see the "capture mode" option and it's set to "disabled". I'm also not using H264+, just regular H264. My settings:

    DS-2CD4585F-IZ rotate mode

I'm trying to figure out how to rotate the image on my DS-2CD4585F-IZ by 90 degrees. The specsheet says it has "Rotate mode", but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. Any tips anyone?

Does NVR "incoming bandwidth" specs measure recording or encoding performance?

I'd indeed think it's the amount of data the NVR can capture simultaneaously, but only in a worst-case scenario. Say you hook up 8 cams to the DS-7608NI-I2, the total incoming bitrate across all cams can only be 80Mbps. Same goes for the decoding. It can simply do 32MP decoding at the same...

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

I bought one without POE ports because I have my own POE switch. So this unit simply connects to that switch, along with all the other cameras indeed.

    My Dreamcam! Low Light, 32x optical, 16MP - DS-2DP1636Z-D

Thanks @Speed666, those images look good. What about the PTZ sensor? It's supposed to be even better according to the spec sheets. And how is the zoom on it? I'm also interested in some test images from the 6223 / 8223.

How to stream Hik 2032 to Youtube Live

Easiest way to do this is to just do a copy of the videostream and insert a silent audio stream. I'm using the following to stream a 4k camera with 20fps to Youtube with 1-2% CPU usage: ffmpeg -ar 44100 -ac 2 -f s16le -i /dev/zero -i "rtsp://xxx:yyy@zz.zz.zz.zz:aaaa" -codec:v copy -codec:a...

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

I like it, definately worth it. I'm not sure of it working with gmail, although I remember testing it in the past and believe it worked. I'm running it with firmware 3.4.62 build 160503. Anything specific you're looking for in terms of menu?

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

I'm not sure about the 8P model, but the NI-I2 is not noisy at all. I'm sure you can replace the fans, they're just screwed to the case itself so it's a matter of buying a new fan of the same size and replacing it.

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

Top is iron, or some sort of metal. The front is indeed plastic. It has a fan, but it's a small one and not really noisy if you ask me.

    5.3.6 Firmware

Not sure how your street lighting is, but have you tried setting the camera to day-mode during the night? You may be surprised by the image quality when you have a street light right there. Also, the IR reflecting off of your license plate and the street light itself may cause the rest of the...

    5.3.6 Firmware

The second video, from an image perspective, looks great. Can you try disabling DNR completely? The leg thing really looks like DNR is doing something funky. Also, maybe a reboot after applying the DNR settings to make sure it's actually disabled for real. I'd be very interested to see the...
