Good sale for BlueIris machines Dell Vostros with an i5-10400 and Windows 10 Pro

To be fair, even when you upgrade it's creating ewaste. It's not like your ATX motherboard magically ends up in a different place.

Good sale for BlueIris machines Dell Vostros with an i5-10400 and Windows 10 Pro

@fenderman is on point. These are cheap and deep solutions for NVRs. The idea is to be power efficient, small, cheap. Something that sits in a corner than your RDP into maybe to update every so often. Not something you bother upgrading. And don't get me wrong. I've been building my own machines...

Good sale for BlueIris machines Dell Vostros with an i5-10400 and Windows 10 Pro

So basically processing power for a small-moderate deployment is there. But unless you have a NAS or secondary storage, it'll be on the small side.

Good sale for BlueIris machines Dell Vostros with an i5-10400 and Windows 10 Pro

Looks to have 2 SATA ports. But I'm not sure on the number of bays. The service manual isn't real clear on it. It's got 2 DIMMs supporting up to 64GB of memory. And I think a pair of M.2 slots. So you can at least do a small boot drive and a large spinning disk.

Good sale for BlueIris machines Dell Vostros with an i5-10400 and Windows 10 Pro

Wasn't real sure where to post this at. But came across it today. Thought someone in the market for a new Blueiris box might be interested. This is a $700 machine with a promo code taking $250 off. Making it $450. Dell Vostro 3681 small desktop with an Intel Core i5-10400, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD...

blue iris for 250 cameras at 4mp

If you're just going for something cheap, might be worth looking at a Synology sized for that type of solution. At least then you get footage authentication. Regardless, BI isn't the solution you're looking for with those requirements.

Haven't updated my 5 install for awhile, what's a safe version right now?

Was just able to get back to this today. Updated to 6.1, it was weird, because even though the prompt was to update to 6.1, it updated to 6.5. The latest critical now shows up as 5.2.7.something though.

Haven't updated my 5 install for awhile, what's a safe version right now?

So I'm seeing a 5.2.6.1, I'm assuming 5.2.6.5 is just a set of critical updates for 5.2.6.1? Or is there an installable available for the .5 point release?

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for!

Haven't updated my 5 install for awhile, what's a safe version right now?

I've read that there were a couple issues after 5.2.1.4. I'm currently on 5.0.8.2. What's a relatively safe version right now? As I don't want to fall too far behind on updates.

Upgraded to 4.8.4.8 and no trigger

I'm having a similar but different issue. This seems to be limited to a single camera for me at this point. Just like others I had been working for awhile and then all of a sudden I stopped getting alerts. I just had a chance to look at it today and I actually see motion detection events in the...

New to BI Dahua cameras, i5-6500, no file recordings when hardware decode set to Intel?

I've done a fair amount of research along the way before finally switching from Synology to BI. To start with I picked up an HP ProDesk 600 with 8gig of ram and an i5-6500 with 2yr of mfr warranty on it still for just under $200. Killed the cameras on the Synology the other day. Installed BI...

Looking for awhile for a BI PC I think I found one

I guess I didn't think it was all that bad based on the CPU included being an 8400. I wasn't really finding any refurbished i5 6500 optiplex/elite desk much outside that price range really.

Looking for awhile for a BI PC I think I found one

I've been thinking about making the jump from my Synology to BI for a very long time. But just started to get serious about it. Most of what I read was to look for outlet deals. But I never saw anything that really stood out. Came across this on slickdeaks today for $400. Thoughts for this on...

Random exposure flashes, what causes this sort of behavior?

Just wanted to follow up. Killing the WDR/SSA did it. I'll work on tuning this over time a little better. Thanks for the help!

Random exposure flashes, what causes this sort of behavior?

Thanks for your help, I hadn't thought about the backlight setting causing issues. I was thinking maybe white balance or exposure, good call!

    Currently using SSA.

Random exposure flashes, what causes this sort of behavior?

So this is the second camera in this location that I've seen do this now, which makes me think it's camera settings rather than issues with the camera itself. I have several more of the exact same camera that I don't see do this. They're all IPC-HDBW5831RP-ZE It doesn't happen all the time...

New firmware for IPC-HXX5231XX Released on 201711

You sir are my hero! I will have to try this out. I'm assuming you could still set the zoom in the camera itself if you're only using the zoom to really adjust fov for the most part. Set it and forget it.

New firmware for IPC-HXX5231XX Released on 201711

It matches. At first I tried just Defaulting the camera after the update, that way it kept existing credentials. No luck with that. So I did a factory default. Tried setting both the ONVIF admin and admin user account the same manually, no luck there. Wondering if it wasn't letting the admin...

New firmware for IPC-HXX5231XX Released on 201711

Tested 1 camera and can't seem to authenticate using the ONVIF user now. Using a generic Dahua profile on a Synology Surveillance Station client with the IPC-HDBW5831R-ZE. Didn't have any issues previously. I can authenticate using the generic ONVIF profile. Tried both PAL and NTSC just to see...

    IPC-HDBW4300E Firmware SSL bug?

That's good to know I was looking at the new 4MP Dahuas as well as the new Hikvision 4MP fixed lens option also (not sure if variable focus is worth it or not). I won't record much over 1080p at this point due to capacity constraints, so the extra resolution isn't a huge deal to me. I think I'd...

    IPC-HDBW4300E Firmware SSL bug?

Gotcha, that makes perfect sense, I appreciate the help nayr. Enabling SSL definitely doesn't offer any benefit on these since it doesn't even seem to function, period. I don't think I'm really seeing any other issues than that. I thought I had read somewhere that one of the firmware releases...

    IPC-HDBW4300E Firmware SSL bug?

I've been looking where to download firmware updates for the Dahua IPC-HDBW4300E camera. I'm currently using 2.420.0004.0.R, build : 2014-11-03 that came with it, but I've noticed a bug with the camera when enabling SSL. When using SSL to attach to the web interface of the camera the interface...
