Google Fiber - WAN Remote Access Problems

Hi, I recently setup a blue iris server with many IP cams for a storage unit here in Utah. This business has google fiber which is great speed and pretty easy router management but I'm struggling to get it to connect remotely. I've set up the static DCHP, port forwarding, etc as I usually do...

    CCTV cam with Blue Iris?

Wow! Thank you for the info! I'm sure my Neighbor will be more than happy to hear this news! I will purchase one right away. Quick question: after plugging the CCTV cameras into this DVR, what did you plug into blue Iris? A cat 5e/cat6 cable? Then add each h264 cameras seperately?

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

I'm also confused why going to my public IP would would randomly direct to one of my hikvision cameras? I clicked on the UPnP settings, not sure if this has anything to do with anything but there are lots of settings here - most of them for my cameras. not sure how they got there.

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

BTW thanks for sticking with me, I know this probably isn't your #1 choice of what to do in your free time. I would be more than happy to send some money via PayPal to compensate you for your time if we can get this working.

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

All of my cameras are under variations of 192.168.1.2xx. I have done this so it does not get messy with my regular devices connecting to my wifi network. I've attached new screenshots of my settings. when checking whatismyip.com it shows 199.xx.xx.xx regardless if i check on my laptop or iMac...

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

Hmm. Interesting. It connected to one of my HikVision cameras. I logged in using the default credentials. Very strange. I checked SADP tool to make sure all the IP addresses were what they should be. I don't know why it shows that camera. I have 5 HikVision cameras.

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

It really is great speed for a great price, just wish I had my own IP address. I have done what you said, changed the settings in blue Iris and on my router but still unable to connect to through mobile device or through external IP xxx.xx.xx.xx:50000

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

When testing port 50000 it says success, ISP is not blocking... I does not work with the standard port 80 however. Using whatismyip.com the external IP address seems to line up fine also

Changed ISP, can't access cameras remotely

This one is a bit complicated, I apologize up front. We recently got a new ISP. They tore up our roads and have installed fiber optic which is amazingly fast. Sadly since we have switched, I have been unable to remotely access my cameras from my phone or from a web browser. I checked all of my...

    Larger single HDD or multiples

Personally I have a Synology system that has 5 HD's. They act as one single large 20TB drive. I do not notice any speed improvements when compared with backing up to a single 4TB external HD.

    CCTV cam with Blue Iris?

@fenderman thanks for the fast reply and thank you for welcoming me to the forum! Your answer is the answer I feared but also the answer I hoped for. IP is the way to go. Any recommendations as to what to do with the current cameras? Sell? Donate? Trash? Also, I was thinking I could tape a cat5...

    CCTV cam with Blue Iris?

I personally use and love blue Iris for my home security system. I have 12 cameras connected (mostly HikVision) to a dedicated computer and find any excuse to add another whenever I can. I love how easy it is to wire and connect a new camera using PoE. My neighbor purchased His house with...
