I bought this for Unraid and am running Windows 10 with Blue Iris in a VM. i dedicated 2 cores and 4gb of Ram for 4 1080p cameras. I...

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

little update.. weird, during the day the setup is rock solid. At night, quite often the Firetv will go 404 unavailable (or something like that) but if I log into the camera, it is still working. looks like now its a tinycam Pro issue or a Firetv issue.

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

thanks Trax, yes it is definitely proprietary. Funny I was focusing on network, who would have guessed it was power related. Reminds me of back in the day one time troubleshooting a PC gaming problem. The sound was jerky when playing, i was focusing on updating sound card drivers, sound...

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

Alastair, there is no model number on the injector, but I'm sure hoping you're right. Nice when it could be a $400 fix and ends up being free. Fingers still crossed.

just found an AC adapter and plugged it into the camera. So basically now the network is separated from the power. it has been running for an hour without error. I don't want to jinx myself, but I definitely am hoping this is fixed.

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

will check the powerlines tomorrow.. I do not have another POE injector but am buying another Hikvision camera from Nellys, will order one with it. I wonder if it could be the camera too as that is one constant, it has always been the same camera out there. i just emailed the guy that did my...

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

hey guys, swapped out the network cable with one that works from my other cameras, still same problem. Will take the picture of the breaker box tomorrow as i was out with the kids tonight. Here is a pic of the two sides of the powerline that I have going on. The POE doesn't go over powerline...

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

I did not make the cables myself. Actually the one that goes from the cisco to the powerline adapter on one end and the one that goes from the powerline adapter to the poe injector on the other end are store made cat6a cables. The one that goes from the POE injector to the camera is just one I...

hey fenderman, i will check when i get home from work in a couple hours. I will pretty much buy anything I need to, to get this working. I know the powerline adapter is - Powerline 1200, 1 Port the last option would be running another Cat6 line out there but whatever it takes because it...

    Troubleshooting POE Powerline

thanks for the explanation. Any way to tell what leg they are on? it sucks because the garage is only 20 feet away but running ethernet would be a pain in the ass. We also had a break in out there so this is an important camera to me. I wonder if that poe injector isn't good? Wonder what...
