180 IP Cams with option of using each half of the view separately?

I am trying to find out if this is possible in case it was wonky to have a really wide view on 16:9 screens. I would still get the advantage of only needing 1 cam and 1 cable run, then just separate the views from each other, but I can't find anything that says any of these cams have that...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Thanks. We tried some tools to fit that, but they didn't work. I have the one that came with it around here somewhere, will have to find and try.

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Are you referring to the one at the front of the camera or the one set inside the body at the back?

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

How do you remove this camera from where it's mounted? I should have the manual around somewhere, but I don't know where and I can't find any. The links in the first post don't work.

    IPC-Color4K-T180 or the HIK ver?

I know some firmware is being released for the dahua. With that or anything before it, has this correct aspect ratio at full resolution issue ever been resolved?

    Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret

I can work with that, but what if you are running Linux? Are you just screwed? My current Dahua's started working much better after a firmware update years ago with Chrome/etc, but what are the limitations on non IE browsers for this camera?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

That I do not know, but I can tell you it reads the button press instantly.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

There is already an integration that can read the doorbell presses in HA. I use it. Works great.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I didn't mean it was completely unusable. It's just known to be problematic for many and not the best connection method to the cameras. You could be having issues and may not be noticing them, which means they may or may not matter much for you. Unless you are monitoring the feeds constantly...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

My understanding of Reolink cameras is to never use RTSP, period, unless you have to. HTTP FLV over RTMP is the way to go with specific arguments in place if possible also.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Are you able to do HTTP FLV streams from within Blue Iris? I've read those are best with Reolink cams. That uses RTMP, although I am not sure what the difference is between regular RTMP and HTTP FLV using RTMP.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Regarding multiple streams to the camera, there is actually a piece of software called go2rtc that alleviates such issues. I don't know how everyone used their cameras or what things may or may not work well with it, but for my usage of it there isn't anything off hand that I'm aware of that...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Yea, it's as if they planned it, but didn't complete it. I read about it from someone who beta tested the integration here.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

The official integration isn't complete though and the HACS available GitHub - JimStar/reolink_cctv: Home Assistant Reolink NVR/cameras addon is still the best option. The official one only supports streams for now.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

    1. There is a WiFi version of the doorbell. 2. You could get some kind of relay to still use your mechanical chime, read about it somewhere. 3. I have read about some issues, but personally I had none when I set mine up with HA. I know some things were ironed out as well. I have the WiFi...

Motion Detection Area Boxes (Incorrectly Calibrated)

Thanks. What solved it was combo of switching to Easy Viewer Chrome app and 100% scaling. NACL one didn't work at any scaling level and was different at each. Easy Viewer worked only at 100%.

Motion Detection Area Boxes (Incorrectly Calibrated)

Windows 10, yes. It has worked previously, but not anymore. I did make it trusted site and set those settings to low. I can go drop every setting. Only Windows Defender.

Motion Detection Area Boxes (Incorrectly Calibrated)

I've been facing this issue with any Dahua camera I've ever used, which is several in total. When I click on a certain box, it selects one about 1 down, 1 left of it, but sometimes more than that. It's very inconsistent and maddening. This is with Chrome plugin. I thought that maybe I tried with...

I read through that. That ONVIF Viewer didn't connect to camera either. I don't know what the brand is. I guess I need to contact Blue Irish directly?

    RTSP: 404 Not Found Issue

Hi, trying to test out Blue Iris on a computer that runs NVR for Telexper system I'd like to replace. Cams are connected via switch. I try to add them, this is the message I get. I didn't set this system up and haven't found much info about cameras. The identifier on switch says "KIngstar". Can...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Does anyone know where I can get firmware version 2.460.0000.2.R, Build Date: 2016-12-16? I just received my 2nd camera and it has this version, but the first one I got last week has the October 25th version still. Also, newest one is PAL, not NTSC like other one, which seems to make little...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

I am mounting this on the exterior wall of a pretty standard stucco house, perhaps on vertical wall, maybe horizontal, hanging. Either way, just need ethernet cable for data/power. Would I need any additional hardware to accomplish this?
