Neigbhor Saves The Day - Suspects Casing Property/Vehicle.

Also in CA and we see a lot of car door checking in my neighborhood. My system caught it on video (once last night as they went through my daughter's unlocked car), but I am wondering if there some sort of audible system triggered by laser or otherwise that would actually alert me to these...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

If I use the ie extension in Chrome I can actually see a live stream. However, when I hit the setup tab I get a blank page. Really ridiculous.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I have updated my camera to these files and still cannot access the IVS features though everything else is working great. Within the Chrome plugin I get to the IVS page but then it won't let me draw the tripwires on the screen. So, I tried with Firefox and cannot load the plugin as the system...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I already have the Dahua Starlight turret cams at the door and on the garage wall which oversees the driveway. I was thinking that something more powerful up high would be a good addition but maybe it's overkill?

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Is the SD59225U HNI the best camera for mounting to a chimney to overlook the driveway and street? Is there a better PTZ bullet performer?

    VPN Primer for Noobs

When you open the BI iphone app it asks you to "add new server". When you hit that button it asks for your BI license info. When you add that it populates your IP address info.

Yes, no problem connecting from home. That's what's frustrating me. I figured the app would be the easy part.

    VPN Primer for Noobs

Thanks for that. I can connect via the OpenVPN app and when I do the user I created on the router says "connected". I then entered the BI license information on the BI app and when I pressed "Get IPs" the correct IP information populated. So, I entered my BI name and password and tried to...

Since I have a dynamic IP, does a port need to be opened for the ios app? If so, is there a preferred port? Also, is there a preferred tool to create a fixed IP?

Well, I see the camera ip address in the switch software. However, I cannot access that ip as the system will not connect. It keeps saying that it times out. I tried pinging it from the command prompt and I get "request timed out" and TTL expired in transit".

    BI For Dummies

As cyberwolf suggested, the camera came up as 192.168.1.108. TW (Spectrum) only offers dynamic IP for residential service, so I think I need to open ports.?

If I can change the IP address from there then great. I thought I needed some separate program for that.
