I am having the same problem starting sometime in the last week or so. I'm currently on the iOS app version 1.60.02 and BlueIris 4.7.6.1 x64.

Reviving an old thread here... is the "alert and status counters" check box in the edit user window on the blue iris admin app the only way to control what affects the iOS badge icon/badge-style counts inside the iOS app? I would like the app to give me a count of new alerts but not new...
