thank you @pozzello, "no PTZ" is based in two things: no need to move it once set up (like you said) and cost...but the one you suggested ( SD6CE245U-HNI) I think is ok... by the way, why you guys keeps recommending me Dahua if this is Hikvison´s sub-section?? is Dahua better?? or maybe...

Can´t access remotely to my NVR

Hi folks, I´ve been struggling for a couple of weeks now and it´s nearly impossible for me to access remotely to my Hikvison DS-7608NIK2-8P NVR. Already configured the DDNS stuff (both, NVR and NO-IP server) and the access through my ISP´s router is allowed...but there´s no human way for me to...

thank you very much @TonyR, I was thinking something like that...but here´s the thing: if I can get the camera close to the gate then the distance between it and the NVR is about 1.1 Km (with LOS) so my question is: instead of the PtP link can I use a wireless camera (maybe Hikvision) and a...

    DS-2DF8236IX-AELW Camera no video stream

I don´t think I need PoE (any kind of them) since the camera is powered by its own 24VAC power supply, and besides, Laptop is not PoE and when I connected the camera directly to it worked like a charm!!! Thanks!!

    DS-2DF8236IX-AELW Camera no video stream

Thanks for the help Tony! NVR and cameras are on a remote site, so I don´t have access right now. Regarding the access issue it seems that my ISP is blocking ports to access NVR from WAN so there´s no way for me to reach the NVR from home and check the configuration through iVMS. Anyway I let a...

    DS-2DF8236IX-AELW Camera no video stream

ok let me answer to myself: early today I was on site and connected the camera directly to my Lap (since it is powered by its own 24VAC power supply) and worked just fine!! So the problem shows up when I connect the camera to the NVR, that´s for sure!! Do I need to modify something in the NVR to...

    DS-2DF8236IX-AELW Camera no video stream

Hi folks, I recently bought a DS-2DF8236IX-AELW camera and connected to a DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR in a PoE port. The camera is powered by its own 24VAC power supply (comes with it), since it´s Hi-PoE and PoE ports on NVR are normal. PoE port on NVR shows activity (leds are blinking) but the problem...
