Did you use ivms4200 or just log into your p2p account through web browser. You need to add that camera into your ivms4200 application, then you can 'remote config' it.

Happyslapping, I've tried Hiktools downloaded from Hikvision, it didn't even work on my computer. It discovered nothing at all. I used the real SADP(not comes with hiktool), the output is a .XML file. I am not sure if your .xls will work or not. I highly doubted it. The SADP link is here...

I had the same problem as Johnyboy had. Tried millions time, but failed, the same message as he posted. I am quite sure that the fw is for that particular model, because I could update the machine through regular flash drive method. The only reason I need tftp is for resetting forgot...

It is not a bug, it is a function that is supposed to help people without a through understanding of portforwarding setup. It is a goodwill turning sour. It will mess up your manual portforwarding setup in your router.

Because he wanted to save time and go home quicker. :-) DDNS is a relatively permanent solution, check out a youtube tutorial, Hikvision's ddns is very easy to setup.

Try default the machine, format the HDD, set it up again. Should solve the problem. If it didn't, try figure out if there is IP conflict with anything in your local network.

You should consider setting up a DDNS for your machine. Just go 'configuration' - 'network' - 'DDNS', create a name for your machine, click 'apply', then you are set. In IVMS4500, put the setup mode into 'HIDDNS', no matter what is your external IP, the service will always bring you back home.

I had the same model, and I was trying all the ways to TFTP it without any luck. Looks like Hikvision had modified the way TFTP works, or they might have put more security into the way of flashing the machine. I posted this topic yesterday, nobody knows how yet.
