Thanks to this group and a question

Finished installing the 11 cameras and BI 5.0. Running well, all cameras record continuous during business hours and triggered at night. CPU is running under 30% with 2 web client instances running. Goes up a little if I open the console via TightVNC from remote. This on a 5 year old Optiplex...

    Dahua NVR with POE

Bringing some camera's in via a uplink on a remote POE switch. Don't really need all the POE ports. Can I bring that cable in via one of the POE ports on the Dahua or do I have to put a switch on the NIC port? Lou

LR1002 adapters to use the BNC connectors to Ethernet

Replacing old analog cameras with IP. Current cameras have the piggy back coax with power cables. Do these adapters carry the Ethernet signals, the POE voltage or both? Doesn't seem like passive devices could do both. Sorry for asking basic question but Dahua's write up is not clear to me...

    BI playback sometimes freezes

Occasionally, an alert playback will freeze about 2-3 seconds into the recording. After the next alert, then this one will play back normally. Sometimes, it even backs up a frame or 2. Can't supply any samples unless I can catch one before it gets "fixed" by the next alert. running version...
