From what I remember, there is no default passsword for these cameras. On your initial login, it will force you to set one.

Found one. If I want an equivalent FOV as 1/3" and 3.6mm, then 1/2" would need to be approximately 5mm.

That's disappointing that the specs are wrong.

According to the specs, the Hik should have a 78 degree FOV. https://store.ipcamtalk.com/shop/ipct-hfw5831re-i-ip/ An IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE with a 3.6m lens has an 87 degree FOV. IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE Oddly, Dahua lists the focal length for the IPC-HFW1831E as 4mm, but with the same FOV as the 4231...

Strange problem you have. Is the switch able to provide enough power for your cameras?

It's possible. Have you tried a factory reset?

Looks like a CA plate so probably the latter.

Unplug the ethernet cable and see if you still receive responses from pings. Verify there aren't any weird auto maintenance settings configured.

I anything else on the network conflicting with the IP of your camera?
