most probably when PSU died, mobo died. CPUs do not die so easily. had dozens of fried MBs and CPUs that were on them that moment still work.

heard Ryzen 1800X and new i7 with 6C/12T works better. Dual Xeon workstation is a killer when it comes to price. Someone paying 150 USD for a camera will never pay for a monster like that :)
