So it's live audio sending to the android app you say, but in a captured recording it will pick up audio ok?

In the camera settings I see an Environmental Noise Filter set to Off. Should this be set to on?

There is no enable audio in the camera gui, I can only enable in blue iris. Maybe it's hidden somewhere I'm not seeing.

Greetings I have a few hikvision mini dome cameras; I never enabled the audio until now but I'm not getting sound although the captured clips show a little speaker icon on them like it captured the audio as well. I enabled the audio in the blue iris audio tab. I missing something? Thanks again.

Greetings, I have a 500gb hd. I have allocated 400gb to "New" folder. Blue iris shows 97% used by recordings although when I check the size of the folder where clips are saved it is 55gb. How is this calculated ? Thanks.

Greetings Regarding clips and archiving is it possible to just set New to like 400gb and stored and alerts to 0. I dont need to move clips I cant just delete them. Will this approach work and just keep 400gb worth of captures? Thanks

It's an optiplex and and it's very small. No more room for upgrades but yes that wouldve been a good option.

Thanks for all the replies. To add more specific info. I have 9 cameras and I only do motion activated recordings and not 24/7. Running out of space on hd so thinking of external hd options.

Greetings, I know it's recommended to record clips using your local drive. Was thinking of moving recordings to a usb3 drive (more capacity). Usb3 I believe is faster than the internal ssd drive I have. Thoughts ? Thanks again.
