    Car Checker Barely Escapes

My daughter did that. Then she told me that I had better check my cameras for "suspicious" activity.

    Windows 10 Edition

The Windows 7 key is used on a clean Windows 10 install ---IF--- that computer, was upgraded from a retail Windows 7 to Windows 10 during the free upgrade period of time. OEM versions will not work. It will not work on a different computer unless you call Microsoft and have the Retail Key...

Blue Iris reverted to demo following Windows update

Windows has instituted a quarterly update program. They will be rolling out updates each Winter, Spring, Summer Fall. Unless you turn off automatic updater, they will eventually "push" the update out to you. Most have a few new (usually useless) features. Some have security updates. I have...

Blue Iris reverted to demo following Windows update

I had same problem when I did update. Contacted BI support. They told me just enter BI key I bought directly from them. That worked. I does however use up one of the "Uh Oh" installs you are granted. When those are exhausted, Jennifer can reset them if you have a legitimate story. Cheers.

    Cams up, Pictures here.

Thanks for opinions. I expressly placed the cameras to discourage and or ID Door Checkers. Higher up would have given me great pictures of their hoodies. My intent was to cover the drive, and some of the street in each direction. Please remember, if your "insurance covers that" it is you...

    Cams up, Pictures here.

Wife painted the recycle waste can. We don't have room for it at side of house and don't want it in the garage, so we "beautified" it!

I restarted BI software and reconnected camera. No phantom phone yet. Will keep an eye on it over the next few days. Weird!

    Phantom Network Phone, Help?

Checked all devices in house, could not find an offending device. Turned off all computers and restarted mine. The T1_Plus was gone. Restarted each computer one by one. It never reappeared. I have not yet restarted Blue Iris Software nor reconnected a camera, that is next step.

    Phantom Network Phone, Help?

I checked all the Set top boxes. Only plan I have now is to shut down all computers and start them one by one until it shows up on the Network list. Then shut that one down and see if it shows up on the next. My fear is that it will be on each one, and thus not give me a source.

    Phantom Network Phone, Help?

I recorded all the Mac addresses for my smart TVs, I have it on a list. It is not one of them. I have not checked Set top Boxes that Comcast provides. Will run and check all of those. But if they are connected to my network, they should show up in Attached Devices on the router listing I would...

    Phantom Network Phone, Help?

After the Windows Spring Update, a new device is showing up in my network devices list. It is listed as T1_Plus, under "Phones." It has a Mac address. I looked on my router, and no device with that address is connected via ethernet nor wireless. I unplugged my Dahua camera (the only one I have...

    Dome or Turret?

I read that simple laser lecture pointers can take out a ip-cam sensor permanently. Perp. does not even need to get close to cameras. Are these devices too high tech for our vandals and door checkers?

    First cam up HDBW4321FP-AS 2.8mm

I am assuming you mean cable to the bird house.... Well, I took off a piece of trim above the door. There is a recess there where the burglar alarm system wires run. I punched a hole from the garage into that cavity. Then ran the cable over almost to the edge of trim just above the camera. I put...

Need help choosing a camera system or camera components

I called Hikvisiion USA Corporate to find out where I could buy legitimate USA versions of Hikvision Cams. Corporate said I must buy from a authorized Hikvision dealer or receive no warranty or support. They gave me my local distributor's name and location. It was ADI in Sacramento. I called...

    First cam up HDBW4321FP-AS 2.8mm

Yes, the bird house was made to precisely fit between the two trim rails. I had to angle the lower half of the front piece so it would not block the fish eye lens. The roof is cut to lap over the red house trim. Made of model airplane plywood with my scroll saw. I have marked the position for...

I did some of that, but area was too bright for IR to engage. This brings up a question I had. How do I force Daylight mode or force IR mode? DO I do it in BI in the profiles, or in the camera set-up proper? Or both? Or depends on the camera? Here are some pictures One is covered with Al...

You are a rebel! I want to move the light 18 inches left, and put the camera where the light is. Major resistance coming from inside the house. I ordered two PFB203W from @EMPIRETECANDY which should arrive sometime soon. Only need a 1/4 inch hole to mount with those, so if I decide to move...

I am trying to cover door checkers on the Silver SUV. Here is how the test mount is placed. I can move it up some, or to the left. But if I put it between lamp and garage door frame, I lose the angle on the car door.
