That was it. Something so simple. In the AI software I did not name the camera the same as the ai camera in BI. Must have missed that or thought it was a non issue. Thank you for the all the help.

What can I do to clean this up for future incidents. It is so blurry it is not worth the money paid for the camera system etc. I am sure I have done something wrong, but what can I do to get better images of people riding through the neighborhood kicking peoples mailboxes over?

So in case someone else has the lag issues like I explained make sure that "limit decoding unless required" feature on the Video tab of the camera is not checked....:banghead:

Ok mine was not writing to a log so I changed it and it has been running for awhile and not seeing the same errors as you have above. I am using Android.

Blue Iris machine is attached to a switch that goes to the poe swith where the camera are plugged up. The whole network leads in the end to my router. Sorry I did not mean to not answer all of the help is greatly appreciated.

A combo. I have been checking it probably a network thing as stated above. Just try to pin it down. They are on the same switch etc and one no issues, and one randomly has slow ping response.

Ok so the lag that comes and goes seem to only be in BI. When i am watching in BI and the camera interface, the camera one is fine and BI is stuttery and skips through what it is seeing. Like car goes through and instead of smooth i get like three jump images of it going through. Then it will be ok.

How do I make sure the phone is not killing the app. Both camera are hooked up to same swith, network etc. One camera is running smooth the other seems to work sometimes then others lags the video.

Does the console have to be open for it to send alerts to phone and app? I have it running as a service, but do not seem to get alerts. When the console is open I seem to get them. I have the BI tools installed as well. What is the best way to make sure that the app is always running, alerting...

Thank you everyone for the help. Last question. Am I going to want the blue iris software to run this and just buy it on their website? Best to just run on my PC or some other suggested way to record etc.

Can I mount these right against the wall no junction boxes or are they suggested. Either way can they get mounted junction box or not right to the wall not using J mounts?
