    Latest new NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_ V4.001.0000005.1.R.201126

I bought cameras and NVR from Andy back in the day, and I haven't dared to upgrade the firmware because my cameras were in hard-to-get locations in case something went wrong, but now that I am moving soon, I removed all my cameras and thought now it's time to upgrade the firmware for all my...

    NVR4108-8P-4KS2 lost one camera?

Okay, I managed to solve this by switching that one camera to static IP instead of dynamic one. I set it as 192.168.0.170, but didn't change anything else. After I changed the same IP to my NVR's settings, it suddenly reappeared there as well! So, although everything works again, I have no idea...

    NVR4108-8P-4KS2 lost one camera?

Yes, in fact I have also powered that separate switch off and back on, and the same two cameras return online when I look them via NVR, but this one does not. Although I can log straight into that camera as well... :/ Because I don't have UPS connected to that switch, when power goes off...

    NVR4108-8P-4KS2 lost one camera?

Hello! I have six cameras connected to my NVR, three of them straight via NVR's ports, and three via separate switch that is connected both to my NVR and to my router (so those cameras get 192.168 -addresses via DHCP). Things has been working fine for a long time, until recently (after power...

Hiding tripwire/intrusion boxes from live view?

Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for! I was searching for this in image settings, event settings or even in camera's own settings (there are overlays etc where this would make sense), but I never noticed Display menu under System :)

Hiding tripwire/intrusion boxes from live view?

I meant web config/browser (I use that so I can watch my cameras when I am at work as well), but good to know that at least it's possible with Smart PSS! Do you (or someone else) know if that is possible with web config as well?

Hiding tripwire/intrusion boxes from live view?

This is probably a stupid question, but I cannot find any way to hide those ugly blue lines from my live view (I have both Dahua cameras and Dahua NVR). Naturally I want both tripwire and/or intrusion boxes to be active, and I want to see them in settings, but I don't want to see them in live...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Last time I upgraded, I did the factory reset from camera software, but it didn't fix it. I am a bit hesistant to do these factory resets in case I somehow lose connection to my camera as a result (if it resets IP settings as well etc), but camera reboots itself after upgrading and after that I...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Upgraded, and it's still bugged :idk:

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

I am not sure about the specs of my power supply (and cannot check now as I am at work), but back when I ordered this camera, Andy sent me a power supply as well so I could test it without NVR, and that power supply worked without problems. EDIT: I just checked and this power supply has 12V 3A...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

All right, I did set camera to defaults. First I thought I lost connection to my camera as it didn't want to come back online after it rebooted itself, but it was just my DHCP server giving my camera new IP address... :) Anyway, defaulting camera did not help. Privacy masking is still very much...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

No, is that necessary? All my presets etc would be deleted then surely? I did reboot the camera though after upgrading.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Upgraded, and while camera still works like normal (at least, so far so good), that privacy mask drawing did NOT get fixed. It's still very buggy and if you place it in wrong place (which is easy, considering the square appears in different place where your mouse cursor is, AND is bigger as...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Ahh nice, I have just been cursing about how privacy mask works just fine with Dahua turret cameras, but with this one, it's a mess. I have to try it, as this might be why it's not possible to move privacy mask because the black square is bigger than actual borders of that mask.

Motion detection triggering on IR beam, car headlights etc

I only realized a couple of days ago that I don't have to have my cameras connected right into NVR in order for them to work, so now half of my cameras are working in my local network. With that in mind, I could just buy another POE switch to add those cameras that are still connected to my NVR...

Motion detection triggering on IR beam, car headlights etc

I tweaked those motion detection areas a bit for each camera so I have to see tomorrow if it helped at least a bit. For some reason I couldn't draw tripwire areas at all, and even that checking/unchecking MD boxes is pain, as UI shows different things based on if you do it in small window or...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

I haven't tried Pale Moon yet, but I just read Cliff Notes where it stated that plugin only works on 32-bit version of Pale Moon browser (as plugin is 32-bit), so if you installed 64-bit version of that browser, maybe that's the reason?

Motion detection triggering on IR beam, car headlights etc

Hello! I just turned on motion detection for all my Dahua cameras (four HDW5231RP-ZE and two SD49225T-HN) yesterday evening, and this morning I checked what I got. Well, seems like my PTZ cams touring around, shoot IR beam across my yard and that triggers those cams that happen to see them...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

For me it's Internet Explorer that is freezing pretty much every time I try to connect cameras own UI. Using NVR with IE works though. Good thing is, that I can see the address and port (for those that are connected straight to NVR) so I can copy the address and use Chrome's plugin instead :)...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

That's what I thought... I don't understand why though. With camera staying at one spot for that long, even the most geriatric burglar can slip away when camera is looking away... :/

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Have you guys noticed with this camera that when you try to set up a tour by selecting presets, you cannot set any lower duration (meaning that how long camera stays at pre-defined spot) than 15 seconds? Log in to camera web service, then PTZ -> Function -> Tour. At least for me, I can change...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

THANK YOU!!! I never realized that you can actually connect your cameras to your router and still use them via NVR! :o My ethernet cable from that POE switch is too short to reach my router, but I happened to have an extension piece so I extended my ethernet cable and plugged it to my router...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

I have no idea what logic there is behind this NVR :/ But I cannot connect that POE switch to WAN port of NVR, because then I cannot connect my router anywhere (but NVR's POE ports and that should not work). Thing is, that I have a 25 meter ethernet cable going through my attic, then down the...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

All right, I am back at home, trying to get my cameras working. I followed advice by @bigredfish and also @Thedy Bratu . I upgraded my firmware first. Funnily, my NVR claimed I already had newest firmware, although it was one version behind, maybe because I had "generic" firmware as my NVR is...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

Thanks @Thedy Bratu and @bigredfish ! I have very similar observings, but that's good to know that it's mainly because of buggy firmware. I am on a vacation now, but thanks to TeamViewer, I can access my home computer from here :) So I checked and see that my NVR's firmware is 3.215 and the one...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

Hello Thedy Bratu, and thank you for info! My NVR WAN port is connected to router, and POE switch is connected only into POE port of NVR, but not also into my router. So everything *should* be fine. Well, this morning when I read your message, I decided to log in to cameras and switch them back...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

Now this video helped me to at least connect to cameras when I plug ethernet cable from my computer right in to PoE ports of NVR. Before I didn't manage to connect, because I had four cables in four leftmost PoE ports, and connected my computer to one of the remaining four ports. Well, I found...

Hitting cameras web pages with a laptop in an NVR with POE

Hello everyone! I am in the same boat as OP, but I have a bit different setup and cannot log in to cameras via NVR. First things first, here's my setup: I have my internet router connected with my Dahua NVR and my desktop computer. Three cameras are directly connected to NVR (and gets power...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

There's no extra spine welded on the back, but like said, the metal should be thick enough (and also because it's attached with 6 bolts) that it only wobbled a bit when I whacked it with a hammer (one bolt was jammed a bit, but before mounting camera there naturally) :) It might not have to hold...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

I thought about some sort of pole mount as well but eventually decided not to use that, when I saw how big (of diameter) pole was needed for this camera's pole mount. And I wanted to save some money, this was basically free :) Originally I thought to use some sort of board, but quickly ditched...
