I have the same problem. CPU usage goes up to 99%. I exit Blue Iris and start it back up and the CPU usage is back around 40%. I have a Dell XPS 8700, i7-4770 CPU and 16 GB ram

I think I found the problem, I set GMT to -4 for DST.

Ever since daylight savings time, my PTZ jumps an hour behind. I go into settings and sync it with the PC, but within a few hours it goes back an hour. I'm in the EST zone, and it is set for GMT -5. Any clues what is doing this?

You are right, the camera is fine, but it only works with the DC power supply connection. That’s fine, I’m going to find a place in the house for it. Now my problem is, I can’t find the 3 screws I took off the camera, I think it might be a 3mm screw. Off to Lowe’s to find some screws. Thanks...

Howdy, I screwed up and forgot to waterproof the RJ-45 connector. Camera stopped working. I have it apart right now, and was wondering if there is a re-set button inside. If not, I'll order a new one from Andy.

Thanks for the clarification. My 3 year old Hikvison 2032s set "I Frame Rate" my new Dahua's use "I frame interval". I missed the word Interval. I have my Dahua's I frame interval set too high (50). I'm going to reset them to 25 and see what happens.

The I frame is a complete stand alone frame (like a jpeg) it contains the most bits of the other frames (P and B if used). The other frames usually just contain bits that changed from the I frame. Increasing the I frame will increase the bit rate.

I have one Hikvision camera for my backyard. We have about 2 dozen turkeys go through the back yard every day. I like to watch the Tom’s when they fan their tails and do the Turkey strut.

This guy was also fast at emptying my feeders!

Squirrels and chipmunks are the reason I don’t fill up the feeders in summer. They can empty a feeder in a couple of hours. I have a caged suet feeder for woodpeckers and thistle seed soxs for finches.

This is with no IR, and Day & Night set to color. I think I like this mode, because you can ID the color of the clothing.

Thanks for the ideas. The image with no IR light is greatly superior to the Hikvision camera it replaced. I think I’ll just keep it the way it is with no IR.

Update: with the latest 4.5.1.5 BI update the home button will now go to preset 1. BUT, instead of the ONVIF/ (OXML) PTZ protocol use now the Dahua/Q-see RTSP PTZ setting. I can confirm all the arrows in BI now fuction and the Home button will go to preset 1.

Did you ever get a solution for the delay in Blue Iris. I have the HD49225T-HN, sometimes there I no delay other times there is like a 10 sec delay when using the arrow keys in Blue Iris.

Got my Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turrets (2) (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) yesterday from Andy. I’m testing them out in my basement, their nightvision is fantastic. I thought I had problems with one because the nightvison sucked, but that was because the IR was shut off. Turned it on and wham! Works...
