Directly connecting to a Wansview Q5 camera without app possible?

Yes i have. No dice. I've set up the cam with the app and it turns out that the user name password combination is broken from the getgo. the (random) initial password that the app shows does not work unless you change a character. Image Quality in FHD is limited to 1-1.5mbit with an image that...

Directly connecting to a Wansview Q5 camera without app possible?

Hey Guys, so I got a cheap Wansview Q5 1080 PTZ camera. Product claims to support RTSP and ONVIF but it seems like you have to register via their app first which I do not want to. The camera broadcasts a Wifi Network with th advertised IP of the cam being 192.168.0.1 - you can reach an empty...

Differences between Dahua IPC Firmware 2.622 and 2.800 branch / cameras freeze constanstly

Issue seems to be solved. the crash was caused by a rogue ffmpeg client.

Differences between Dahua IPC Firmware 2.622 and 2.800 branch / cameras freeze constanstly

Oh? I thought Hx5X3X specifies the firmware "family". I have a IPC-HDW4631EM-ASE - IPC-HDW4631EM-ASE lists a "DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707 " firmware, so I went to grab the latest HX5X3X from the download section. I previously had the...

Differences between Dahua IPC Firmware 2.622 and 2.800 branch / cameras freeze constanstly

Hey Guys, So i've upgraded my Cameras from 2.662 branch to the 2.800 firmware branch a while back but only see new releases for the 2.622 branch as of now: Is there any information on what's the big difference between those two? Also, I have an issue where ALL cameras freeze every other...

    SD22204UE-GN DH_SD-Eos-Civil_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.810.0000000.4.R.200509

Thanks for the Update! Unfortunatley I am unable to activate IVS with a SD22204UE-GN-W - The Smart Plan screen is just empty: Or am I missing something here that would allow me to enable IVS? Smart Codec is disabled of course... EDIT: Sorry, it's my first PTZ Camera... I just figured out...

Dahua playback question: can the cam play back from NAS?

Having the same issues. Is it at least possible to playback recordings via the android app, if they are stored on FTP or NAS? Recording to SD Card was my preferred option, but it slows the camera down to a point it does not respond for minutes...

Slow responding Dahua Cameras for the first Request

I'd love to use Blue Iris but i fear that i'd be to CPU intensive and causes too much power consumtion (~0,32 USD / kWh at my location). Also, will you be able to watch the full res streams when another instance (like blue iris) is accessing the stream for analysis?

Slow responding Dahua Cameras for the first Request

Thank you, highly interesting. What recording destination would you recommend? Unfortunately I am unable to set different destinations for motion recording and continuous recording. I'd love to have motion on the ad card and the non stop stuff on an ftp...

Slow responding Dahua Cameras for the first Request

Hey Guys, So I am having consistent issues with 4 dahua cameras (IPC-HDW4631EM-ASE) When trying to connect via onvif or rtsp the first request to the secondary (standard definition) h264 stream is EXTREMELY slow. 10-15 seconds slow (and/or timeout). After a few tries the stream somehow gets...

Cannot get gDMSS Plus to display recordings - please help! :)

Hey Guys, so I am really frustrated right now - I am trying for a whole day now to get gDMSS Plus to display recordings made to an SD Card from several Dahua IPCs. The cams (IPC-HDW4631EM-ASE) are connected via p2p/easy4ip to the app, notifications and live image works but I am not getting any...

Recording after Event until Motion stops possible?

Hey Guys, So I am using IVS with an intrusion area to trigger recording. The recording is triggered if something enters the area. Unfortunately I am unable to find a setting that keeps the recording going as long as there's motion within the area. Can you help me out? Using Video-Detecion ->...

    VTO2000A new V4 firmware

Thanks for the info! I own a VTO2000a and serveral 7 inch vth1550ch indoor displays. You've mentioned updates for the VTH devices. Can you point me into the right direction? Are the sounds customizeable with the new firmware? I'd need something in german ;-)

Record to NAS/SDCard AND ftp not possible?

Hey Guys, I was using a VTO2000A thingy on my front door. This model allows to record to an internal SD-Card AND then upload events to a FTP server. I am trying to do something similiar with a brand new IPC-HDW4631EMP-ASE but everytime i want to enable NAS storage it disables FTP. I cannot...

IVS vs. h265+ smart codec vs. motion detection

Thanks for the Tip! Is there a trial version of Blue Iris available? Motion detection was a desaster. It recorded and alerted every time the camera made a switch from day to night mode and also went crazy when the sensor light of my driveway was activated (and then deactivated a few minutes...

IVS vs. h265+ smart codec vs. motion detection

What resolution and Settings do you have? I am no where near those values. (unless you're talking about smart codec) With h265 VBR at 20fps, 40 frames iframe interval and a max bitrate of 4096kbit the camera stores about 1.3 GB Of data every hour. That's about ~2500kbps and for a completely...

IVS vs. h265+ smart codec vs. motion detection

Its very true that I am not really experienced in this area. Infact, those Dahua cameras are my very first :) Sorry about that. Speaking of bandwidth: In my driveway I average out at around 120-170 MB /hour (~270-390kbps) with h265 smart codec - That's well within the fact sheets from dahua and...

IVS vs. h265+ smart codec vs. motion detection

Thanks for the info. Dahua really should update their promotional material here as it gives no clue to such limitation. The whole point for me was to have features like line crossing AND a low bandwidth continuous recording. Goal was to have four cameras with 3 months retention. That's now...

IVS vs. h265+ smart codec vs. motion detection

Hey Guys, just wanted to ask about your experience with IVS "enter/leave area" mode vs. Motion detection. I was under the impression that I'd be able to use h265+ (smart codec) and IVS at the same time since the dahua datasheet did not tell otherwise. Atm I'm a bit disappointed due to the...
