When you are using motion detection from the camera then the camera initiates the communication to SS. So you have to open that.

@ciphershort. Have you tried opening SS in another browser? I'm using a similar installation except from the network seperation part. And it is working fine now. btw i'm using Firefox.

Are you running the Hikvision firmware on your doorbell?

I thought i saw that option in the Ezviz app whit the Hikvision firmware running. Well i never use the app for the intercom function. So after the installation of the doorbell i put a piece of tape on the speaker. So when somebody presses the button you hear a very soft sound.

I see a white window in Image Settings no live view. But when i click in de batch config tool on live view I can see the stream. Could be that a reset will fix this. But it is not a big problem at the moment.

I've installed the Ezviz app and tested with encrytion on and off. But i think the encryption is just for images/videos stored locally on the sd card/phone or cloud and not for the stream. Well resetting the doorbell could be an option but is to much of a hassle right now. Motion detection...

Diabolic was talking about that it could be related to having encryption on in the Ezviz App. So thats the app i'm going to reinstall on my phone.

In Surveillance Station Live View and the Motion Detection works fine.

No i dont see anything in the image section. Well i do not use the app, i only used it for the initial installation. But i can reinstall it on my phone and have a look.

@alexdelprete I've just upgraded my Ezviz DB1 with the Hikvision firmware. When i start the Batch Configuration Tool and go to Event / Motion Detection i can check the Enable Motion Detection option but i do not see the camera view. Am I doing something wrong?

In the past i was able to set the motion detection area in Surveillance station. So this morning i tried it again and i had no live view in the motion detection area. @reallyphil Sorry for my late reply. No i didn't find any info on the Tencent Cloud related to the camera. All the connections from my camera ip is blocked to tencent in Pfsense.

@wv1973 Thanks for your feedback. Great that it helped you out. Do you know that it is possible to install a onvif supported firmware on your DB1? With the onvif support it is very simple to add the doorbell to your Synology.

Hi Jack, i'm from Europe to (Netherlands). I'm also using a Finder Relay. See post #401 . But it is a 24v version. Works great. But i use it in combination with a 24v trafo.

Man you are the best . That snapshot url works great in my Domoticz setup. Now i do not have to use my script anymore to capture a snapshot from the rtsp stream.

I've only used the Ezviz app for the initial installation. After that i removed the doorbell from the app and uninstalled it. But it's still trying to connect to the Tencent cloud. I'm also using an openvpn tunnel to my home to manage the cam using the Synology DS Cam app. That works great.

I was able (with some tweaks) to add my Ezviz DB1 to Synology Surveillance Station without ONVIF. I'm running a Virtual Synology DS918+ on my ESXi environment. It works great. But i hope ONVIF will ever be available. So adding it to SS will be much more simple.

I'm using a script to capture an image from the RTSP stream. I'm using Domoticz on a Linux server. So when the Ezviz DB1 button is pressed my zwave sirene is triggered and the script captures an image and send it to Pushover. BTW i hope that the Ezviz firmware will also contain the ONVIF option...
