POE ONVIF compatible doorbell with WiFi/poe chimes

i'll probably get pissed off enough to spend a tax rebate on to engineer something out of a Pico R Pi and post it all to github open sauce style. you could even have the downard facing package cam like the ubiquity and run off a poe pi hat and spit out onvif but, if it uses the pi cameras it...

Does anyone have the model number on that? wouldn't mind googling that up oooooohohohohooooo that thread is just using a wireless to to click over relay for the wired. i'd rather it not rubgoldberg like that. and i see a barrel connector, is that using a poe splitter for power and wifi?

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

We need the FUTO corp to find some young engineer to build an open source g4 pro competitor based on an r pi nano or a beagle bone so we can have Poe and rtsp for universal nvr. God this world is on fire. Everyone gurbitn adm grabbing for market share and forced closed APIs.

EA does not mean it's that exclusive, you got scalped, but the scalpers use bots to buy up all the stock. if you use your own bought and check the ia gree box you can join the EA program like everyoneelse but, you'll need your own bot to have a chacne to buy it

i just saw ONLY poe adapter show as sold on ebay for $240 USD. i wonder if it's installers trying to meet deadlines. we have a wait before the g4 pro is retailed at msrp

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

yeah since the wall inside the house isn't sheetrocked yet thinking of coiling up the poe adapter and and leaving it the wall, i dropped a cat6a with metal keystone in the wall. i'd have to take 4" wholesaw to the wall to ever get it back out. again though. the cord on the poe usb c adapter does...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

no thats a newer model than what i have but, this spec states it only has one camera still though i wrote off/stuck with Blue irris when i saw that you can only use (at the time atleast) ui cameras with ui nvr and vise versa. like you oculd use hikvision cameras with the nvr or ui cameras with...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

you're high on drugs! i have the hikvision doorbell it's broken piece of crap with interal glare thats make night viewing totally broken. it cant even attempt to hold a candle to the G4 pro. i justt saw pro sell on ebay for for like $700+ once they go live for $300 if i can snag one i'll...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

i think i'd rather consider dealing with the shitty wifi, plus if i buy one i could buy a jammer and post all over the net untill UI takes notice and makes the next revision ethernet (hopefully) why can't MFers just make wired. yeah i'd look at getting the Axis but, dam nthe cameras ares nice on...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

make sure you shore up the 2x4s in the wall those door birds aren't small you don't want the 2x4s buckling like toothpicks from all that road hugging buick sized weight . OH MAN I"M GOOGLING THOSE AXIS UNITS but if an NVR ain't needed for the G4 Pro and it's wired data with poe, then damn it...

My AIPhone doorbell cams feed CAT5e cables. Can video signals be isolated from them?

wow that thing is the size of a buick! https://www.amazon.com/Aiphone-AX-DVF-Flush-Mount-Integrated-Security/dp/B0039QP944 i don't see any mention of RTSP or ONVIF but, that doesn't mean it doesn't have it

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

this is awesome and makes a bit more sense just like how you can use thier APs as standalone, everyone has been saying you must have an NVR. Glad someone who has used the cameras has chimed in, might be worth buying/trying one of these. anyone knoe when the pro leaves early access? waht is...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

i host unifi off a windows server that i use to host home assistant and blue iris. You can see how they really lock you in. i could see geting a UDM if i can get short depth 3u rack not rack thingy majig but, even at 300 mbps and no IDS/IPS i can't see waht benefit there would be over the USB...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

previous comments state that unifi NVR is required to get RTSP to work. another said only during initial setup. i do not have unifi NVR i have a NON unifi NVR and that i prefer over unifi NVR. i also do not have a unifi Dream machine but, only the lowly non nvr USG. IF i purchase a Unifi G4...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

i'm seeing conflicting information. some claim to be getting rtsp fomr the G4 non pro or they are using the NVR and not stating so. i can't imagine the pro would be much different EDIT: ok people have the UDM with built in nvr can the controller and wifi be disabled in the UDM? i host unifi off...

Review - OEM IPC-B5442E-ZE 4MP AI Varifocal Bullet Camera With Starlight+

i've never had jitter except when it's been mounted on near heavy industrial equipment and it's vibrating. i'm looking at getting this camera and the IPC-B5442E-Z4Eversion with the 32mm lense to compare. not sure i'd need those options.

i had the pro and now the ring elite, 2 way has never worked. it's false advertising if you ask me. i never got the app fully setup on my phone because it wanted too many permissions and i ain't giving the chinese all that extra acess on my phone.
