That URL works for me except it sets the Day/Night Mode to Color. I use the same URL except I use DayNightColor=1 (or 2 with SwitchMode=0)

I have been able to switch from Day to Night and vice versa (using URL as shown above) but those are the only profiles I seem to be able to select using the API. How does one select one of the other profiles (i.e. Custom1 or Custom2)??

I made progress. Recordings are now showing up in the folder even with the new friendly name. Not sure why it took so long. I can double click each file and VLC will play them. That said, the recordings are not showing up under the "Search Videos" tab. :oops:Maybe tomorrow?;)

Yeah, I have both "Event" and "Alarm" enabled with a timeplan of 24/7. I know the other camera is recording fine on the SD so I might just try to change that camera from Local to Network. If that doesnt work at least I know it is the Network settings that are not correct.

That was part of the problem however, after enabling "Record" for ivs there still is no recording files to be found after a trigger. I have another identical camera setup to record on a SD card and it works fine. Must have missed something in the "Network Storage"

Same problem with Edge or Chrome. I googled the error for Amcrest. Tons of links with the same issue. The workaround is to to a Reset Setting for the current page, make the changes and then Save.

Not familiar with this SW but I assume it changes the camera's profile. I perform this via a script I wrote running on a (Hubitat) hub which is on the same LAN as the cameras. No internet is required as long as everything is on the same LAN.

I "solved" this problem by disabling the substream which appears to have solved not just the jumpy live stream but the BI motion detection as well.

I installed another T5442T-ZE S3 and set the Encode parameters identical to the first camera as recommended by @wittaj above. For the BI setting I simply imported the BI settings of the first camera and adjusted the IP to match the new camera. As I am not using ONVIF (yet) I disabled this option...

I ordered both from amazon. The 2nd camera was ordered by clicking the "Buy Again" button on my first order. I had no reason to assume this 2nd camera would be any different

The problem is I don't know what this model is. I cannot find that info in the v3 web interface. Without that I dont know what FW I need to download. BTW: What is Smart IR and None Smart IR??
