Nevermind, it’s back again :( Did a factory reset and still the same. The only other thing I can think of is to reflash the firmware. I've never done that on a Dahua because I've never been sure which files to use. Anyone think it would be worth a shot and want to point me to the correct files?

Turned off WDR and it seems better... what would have caused WDR to fail?
