I know that i don't need the camera to update, but the function is there so i want it to work. My router is updating one dyndns host. The reason i want the camera to update too is if it get stolen and someone tries it on a network i will have their ip. And this is working on every singel little...

No ports forwarded, and that shouldn't be need either for updating dyndns.

5.3.3 on cams and 3.3.4 on nvr. the reason i wanted to change firmware was that one cam have the blink issue, but it seems to have gone when i view it trough the nvr. So i'll leave my firmwares alone for now. thanks guys for helping

Was going to backup my firmware/MTD's of my 3 cams and nvr before i try to tftp update them since normal firmware update don't work. but backing up doesn't work. using putty to ssh to the cam. root doesn't work with any password login with admin and my password. cd command "not supported"...

I have now tried with another coumputer, fresh install of windows 7 and the plugin. and still the same errors. Will do some reading on how to use tftp and try that

yes it was unzipped. on the nvr i tried from c:\nvr\digicap.dav and the cams from c:\hik\digicap.dav

will give that a try, any browser that is prefered?

Yes i have WR cams, both are, same firmware 5.3.3 150630, but i have just seen this blinking happening on one of them. i see in the other thread that there is a new firmware from hik, that they haven't released, V5.3.3 build 150812. i will give that a try, hopefully it wont brick my cam
