BI and UI3 Remote Access - The Video Stream Was Lost

I've been having a similar issue for a few months now. I've got 8 cameras and have been running them with no issues for several years. I have all my cameras running through a single POE switch. Since I didn't notice any other network problems, I thought maybe my switch was bad since it is...

Android Mobile app loads slow on Android 12

I've used the BI Android app on my Note 8 for several years with no serious issues. I recently bought a Note 10 plus and the BI app has never worked as well as it did on my Note 8. I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue of slow loading on Android 12. I don't have any performance...

2021, which way is the best way to watch cameras on an Android phone?

I know this answer doesn't solve the problem with your current router, but did you consider upgrading to a Wi-Fi 6 router such as the RT-AX88U instead of another AC router? I am using the RT-AX88U after upgrading from the RT-AC66U and I can tell you I am very happy with it. I am also using...

BI web server fails to connect after Windows Update - running remote wizard repairs it.

That sounds like an excellent suggestion. Thanks. I've already done it, so I guess I'll wait on the next update to see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be sure to check that before running the wizard the next time!

BI web server fails to connect after Windows Update - running remote wizard repairs it.

I have had an issue with the Blue Iris web server being unable to connect after some Windows Updates. When it happens, it's the same problem every time. Blue Iris works fine with the application that is running as a service, but the web server fails to connect. I found that running the remote...

Anybody else have trouble with pixelated video with the BI webserver?

Well, I never messed around with the Streaming Quality settings on the webserver before but I thought I'd fool around with it to see if there was anything that might cause a change. Sure enough, I had never messed with that setting before but it must have somehow gotten changed when the new...

Nope, that's not it. It looks just the same.

Anybody else have trouble with pixelated video with the BI webserver?

Yes, that's correct. What's strange is that if I take a snapshot of a frame in the webserver with the snapshot tool, the pixelated problem is not visible but if I actually screenshot the the same frame with the Windows snipping tool, the pixelated view is visible. Maybe I'll give Chrome a try...

Anybody else have trouble with pixelated video with the BI webserver?

I've been using BI for several years (started off with version 2 or 3) and have been very happy with it. I'm now running the 64 bit version 5.2.9.20 of Blue Iris. I just received an update to my Windows 10 Pro machine a few weeks ago and ever since the update, I noticed the web server video...

Two cameras do not work with BI5 but do work with IP Cam viewer on my phone.

I got them working again but did not change any ports or addresses. They were both port forwarded using the same settings I've used for a long time. I did get my new router installed and I didn't expect that to fix the cameras but for some reason, I could see the image but the PTZ functions...

Two cameras do not work with BI5 but do work with IP Cam viewer on my phone.

I've been using Blue Iris for years (ever since version 2 I think) with very few problems. I bought a couple of new cameras a few months ago. According to BI Find/Inspect the cameras are identified as DH-SD22204T-GN (Dahua PTZ dome cameras). They worked just fine with BI4 for several months...

    Computer as DVR/NVR? Home Surveillance

There are a lot of people here that have been doing this longer than me but all you really need to do in my opinion is buy a copy of Blue Iris software and spend some time learning to configure it. http://blueirissoftware.com/ You will also probably need a poe switch if you don't already have...

Mini PTZ camera impressions! 2015 PTZ camera of the year? AVOID THIS CAMERA

Very well done and thorough job reviewing this camera! I just ordered one to try out in place of a Foscam I have. If it's as much better as it looks, I'll replace 3 more Foscams with this one. Thanks very much for all the information you provided!

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Hi bp, I just want to add my name to the list of people saying thanks for making this remote-live-view available to us. I like it much better than the stock version in Blue Iris!

FPS drops on wired and wireless cams

You might find some information in the log files in either the router or the Blue Iris application. In Blue Iris, click the stats button and there is a ("Log to file") check box you can check in order for the log to be saved. Also, if it is working ok with your browser, it makes me believe...

FPS drops on wired and wireless cams

If you are not using shielded cable, you might be experiencing some interference from electrical wires that are in close proximity to your ethernet cable. Since your camera is not POE, you might have had to run power to the location of the camera. Hopefully, you don't have the power and...

Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam pag

Re: Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam Ok, time for an update on my situation which is now completely resolved. I took bp's advice and made two major changes: 1st, I wired the cameras that are mounted on the house, and second, I installed a pair...

Re: Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam Thanks for the suggestions bp. I hadn't heard about the Nanostation devices before. I very well may do that after I get finished with the wiring I have left to do. I got the first one wired last night and...

Re: Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam That's pretty much what I am doing. I am going to do all the ones that are actually on the house. I have a detached building about 100' away with two cameras that run wirelessly and I'm hoping that getting...

Re: Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam So much for the powerline adapter being a good way for me to get some of my cameras off the wireless network and onto the wired network. It didn't work out as advertised for me so I'm returning the adapter to...

Re: Camera dropping out when used with Blue Iris but works when viewed through Foscam Thanks again bp...
