    IP4M-1051 2022 Firmware Released

Yeah, a change log would certainly be helpful to have a clue as to what the updated firmware does.

    IP4M-1051 2022 Firmware Released

It looks like on July 27, 2022, Amcrest finally released new firmware for its (Dahua's) IP4M-1051. Has anyone tried it yet? I am only using IP4M-1051s with BlueIris and they seem to be working alright as is so I thought I would ask before installing. https://amcrest.com/firmware#searchbox...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

It is Windows Defender Firewall on my Blue Iris machine... If I add Public to the inbound allow rule for blueiris.exe TCP I can load UI3 via my camera network (.22). Previously I only had Private selected. Is this "secure"? Is there a better way to set this? Thank you

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I do not think I have. That would be easiest to try to prove the browser portion at least... I will post an update by tomorrow after I have had a chance to try anything additional.

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

Brave lost me when it got caught "accidentally" auto adding its referral codes, but sure, I can give that a try and post back results. No, but have considered it. I can try that temporarily too.

Firefox on both machines (Blue Iris and viewing) which as you mention is very insistent about trying to force to HTTPS, but I manually fight it to HTTP.

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I apologize for my slow response, work was a little hectic today. Thank you both for confirming what I thought when I started trying to set this up this way, that it should simply work... I changed to :81 and got the same result. From my Blue Iris machine, I can get to UI3 via either...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I will try that tonight at see if using 81 allows viewing on the camera network (.22). 2262 works fine on the LAN (.73) side. My thought was to keep all camera related traffic at a unique port so it will be obvious what it is if I see any 2262 traffic somewhere. I saw that Blue Iris binds to...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

Yes, that is what I want/have except I also want another PC on the 192.168.2.xxx (or .22 in my case) side showing UI3 and I cannot get UI3 to load. My NIC #2 is not DHCP, it is static .22 and shown in my screenshot above.

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

My LAN side is the .73 and accessing UI3 from another machine on my LAN is working well. I want to have a dedicated UI3 viewing machine on the .22 side of my Blue Iris setup but that is not able to load the webpage. I can ping Blue Iris from my dedicated viewing machine as it is also set to...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I will take a screenshot of it tonight, but I believe it is just set to DHCP, Obtain an IP address automatically.

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I will try adding a default gateway to both this NIC on Blue Iris and the viewing machine this evening and post the behavior I see after that. As .22 is only the camera network and not supposed to be accessible from anywhere else, I assume (see sebastiantombs's post about assuming above) a...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

Yes, good question on the port, but yes, 192.168.22.10:2262/ui3.htm sebastiantombs, is adding a second IP address my camera NIC what I have done? Thank you for offering directions on doing that. I do not really want to do that, but if needed I will? I would be find with only having things on...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

Thank you for the quick response! My screenshot above is the camera NIC on my Blue Iris machine. The .1 network is just there for new cameras before I set those up and put them on the .22 network. The viewing computer is on the .22 network and can ping my Blue Iris machine, aka 192.168.22.10...

UI3 Not Viewable Via Second NIC

I am trying to setup a dedicated computer to always display UI3 and have it on the same "network" as the second NIC in my BI machine. I have put the cameras on that NIC to ensure they are isolated and thought it would be simple to put this didicated viewer on that same "network" to keep the...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

Ok...I got distracted, but hopefully I will actually order soon. Since I plan to go to 16GB of RAM anyway, the same seller now has a couple of 16 GB machines for $30 more. For the same price either way ($530) would I be better off to get the 1 TB harddrive and a RX550, or a 2 TB harddrive and...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@TL1096r thank you for pointing out my typo. I meant to type that I did not realize Home does not have RDP as you had just informed me of that. I edited my incorrect post above so that if someone reads it in the future, I do not misinform them... Thank you also for sharing your experience with...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@fenderman, @Walrus, and @windguy Thank you for the quick feedback. With that pricing being under others currently on eBay, I wanted to ensure I am not missing something. Still above my planned budget (sort of how these things often go), so I made an offer, though the seller does not appear...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@Judman cool, thank you for confirming that is your machine. I am going to try to find something that will let me run a 2.5" and two 3.5", but I will keep that Pavillion in mind. @TL1096r Ok, that helps, I did not realize Windows 10 Home does not have RPD. I am going to try to avoid the NVMe...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@Judman Your logic on saving cameras covering similar areas on different drives sounds like a good idea to me. I have a an good (though small 256 GB) SSD laying around, is why I plan to use an SSD for Windows and BI. Of course depending on what computer I end up getting, it may come with one or...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@Judman thank you for the link to the G4 HP manual and writing that you use two drives for video storage. Thanks to the manual you linked, I am confident that G4 would allow a 2.5" SSD plus two 3.5" HDDs and an optical drive as well which I think I would also like to have. It does not sound...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

@TL1096r does the G4 have space for two NICs also? Is one large storage drive all I will really need for video storage (I plan to put Windows and Blue Iris will be on an SSD)?

@Judman thank you, I will check those out. @bp2008 thank you too for mentioning the performance is fairly similar up to iX-7XXX @TL1096r thank for pointing out some specific examples with what you consider good prices on them. Most of the active i5-8500 listings I see right now seem to be...

@Judman Well I may have been able to get that full tower for $440. I had some company stay longer than expected last night so by the time I checked the listing it was over...I will keep watching to see if I can afford an i7.

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

You both make great points (which is what I hoped for when posting) on the full tower...I think I will have to find a full tower. @Judman: Thank you for the link to that full tower. I will try to bid on it tonight, but expect it will go higher than I am ready to pull the trigger on today. I...

Feedback on Potential Blue Iris Server

I am not certain this is the best place to post a couple hardware questions, but since I am genuinely new, I figured this the safest place for when I come across as in idiot. From the hardware Blue Iris (BI) wiki and Newbie Starter Guide, I started looking on eBay at better CPUs until I found...
