    Auto reboot PTZIP762X20IR

    Ahhh... Much appreciated! ;)

    Auto reboot PTZIP762X20IR

I guess the question should have been... Is there a command I can send to the camera to force a reboot? If I knew the command and protocol I could probably muddle through creating some way to inject it. Computer runs 24/7/365.

    Auto reboot PTZIP762X20IR

I have a PTZIP762X20IR that loses focus every few days/weeks and the only way to fix it is to manually reboot it. Not even the "focus" controls will fix it. After a reboot it's perfect again. I've looked through all the configuration settings for an "auto-reboot" option but there doesn't seem...

Set primary camera to trigger secondary?

That appears to do exactly what I want! Thank you so much!

Set primary camera to trigger secondary?

I have two cameras. Camera A and Camera B. Camera A does everything I want perfectly (trigger and alert). How do I make Camera A trigger Camera B to send an alert? I've tried all sorts of "Sync with camera" settings but it's only sending alerts from one or the other... but not both.

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

    LoL Right symbol, wrong name!

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Thank you jaydeel. This is working famously! You're my newest hero!

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Yes sir! I even copied and pasted the path so I didn't "fat finger" it. ;) EDIT: Got it! Syntax is everything... All I needed to do was put the ampersand back in. :wtf: -F "attachment=@D:\Blue Iris\Alerts\FILENAME"

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Hi! I'm almost there but for the life of me I can't get an image to attach. I can run the basics through both the command prompt and BI using curl and receive them in the Pushover app. As soon as I try to attach an image, only the text portion comes through as though I didn't attempt to attach...

    Folders must be discrete?

If anyone else ever comes across this error Folders must be discrete and not subfolders of one another here's the fix... Just make sure every directory (folder) is unique! In my case it was as simple as putting the database in it's own folder (plus a few minor housekeeping items).

    Folders must be discrete?

Additional information... Blue Iris (v5.6) is logged in as an administrator. D:\Blue Iris\ is "owned" by an administrator and "Everyone" is allowed read/write access. Win 10 Home x64 21H1 (other tech specs are in my signature) PS -> Gotta run for now! Thank you!

    Folders must be discrete?

I'm working on setting up Pushover to replace my flaky text notifications. Both text and email notifications have images attached but they're ephemeral and not available to Pushover. I went into my "Alerts" folder and found that the newest image is from 5 years ago. I went into my "Clips and...

    Spectrum text alert problem

Thank you both! This is something I'll definitely check out!

    Spectrum text alert problem

I've been sending BI text alerts to a Charter/Spectrum phone for a few years. A little over two weeks ago I started getting delays and failures from "vrz-mms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net" which appears to be from the Verizon servers they're using. Is anyone else experiencing this? NOTE: As a test I...

    Connections from Europe?

Well it appears that I can breathe a little easier for now. I wasn't looking forward to jumping in half-cocked and screwing something up this far from the physical equipment. The connections that BI Tools is making today go to "Oracle Cloud" again. Those German connections must have been...

    Connections from Europe?

That's what I currently use. I also use AnyDesk and Jump Desktop as backups. Your second point is my concern, f*cking something up and losing my ability to connect. Like I mentioned, it's a loooong drive.

    Connections from Europe?

After a 12+ hour virus and malware scan, good news... nothing found! I'm currently thinking it's probably not nefarious but I'm going forward with some type of shield against external threats (VPN, ZeroTier, etc). The problem right now is that the system this is occurring on is >2,000 miles...

    Connections from Europe?

I've never had the IPCT brain trust steer me wrong. I have full confidence that we can figure this out. In the meantime I have 12+ hours left on my full virus scan. ;)
  19. J

    Connections from Europe?

Yeah. I don't know how Oracle load balances their services and servers but the BI Tools executable is connecting to it for some reason.

    Connections from Europe?

Updating virus definitions and executing a full scan. I should have the results in a few hours.

    Connections from Europe?

I was hoping to gain some insight from the BI Tools dev about that. I know it watches port 8080 for the watchdog function but the three other connections to the UK from the same IP address on port 80 are what's concerning. Does he have it connecting to an Oracle server overseas for some...

    Connections from Europe?

Thank you again! Looks like I have some reading in my future!

    Connections from Europe?

Thanks sebastiantombs! I have a single port (8080) forwarded for the Blue Iris ui3 interface. The "guest" account is disabled and in order to open that webpage a user/pass combo is required. Do I need a VPN for this webpage? It appears that they're scanning port 80 but that port's not open to...

    Connections from Europe?

I'm in the US. Does Blue Iris Tools connect to a server or something in the UK and/or EU? The actual IP address traces to "Oracle Cloud" in Frankfurt Germany.

    Trigger off another camera?

Thank you both. Yes they are both streaming in BI but I don't have any groups set up. I'll set them up in their own group and see how that goes!

    Trigger off another camera?

I have a front porch camera that has triggered and sent alerts without fail for years. A few weeks ago I installed a doorbell camera (where the doormat is located) and the IR from the doorbell sets off alarms and alerts on my front porch camera ALL.NIGHT.LONG. I'm talking every two minutes. I've...

    160 open BI Ports?

Nope... This was a direct result of the forwards being manually entered into the router. Hence the :banghead: emoji. It was a bone-headed mistake. I started my home brew networking back in the 90's with a Cisco 2501 and a T1 line. I never trusted anything plug-and-play and always like to...

    160 open BI Ports?

Just an observation. The "Tools" tab at the top of this page has an open port checker (and other tools). I personally find the IPCT DDNS service to be invaluable in a residential ISP and 3rd party VPN setting. i.e. Anywhere you have an ephemeral IP address.

    160 open BI Ports?

Oh my goodness... OH.MY.GOODNESS! I think I have a bigger problem than previously expected. Port forwarding isn't just enabled for Blue Iris on port 8088, it's enabled for every single camera on my system. Oh myyyyy.... :banghead: EDIT: I disabled all port forwarding in my router and then...
