    Newest iDMSS app 4.40.000 is borken

    Broken for me too! Can’t connect to NVR. I’ve downloaded the ‘lite’ version and that will connect fine. The problem with iOS is you can’t revert to a older app! Hope they fix it ASAP.

    The main part of the camera, the ball is split down the middle by undoing three screws on the back. The seal around the 'split' is a rubber one and seems very good and i can't see how water can get in. The mic is sealed to the front casing with what looks like silcone and the seal seems good...

    No leads for a mic or speaker. Can't say I've really tested the speaker much, but it seem to pick up a slight breeze here in the location it's installed, so seems fairly senstive. I'm not really bothered about the mic anyway.

    I've just got a camera through like this! Didn't show it in any of the pics on the advert, but listed it as a HFW4300 'V2' (version 2) new for 2014. Its not not going to be a issue for my install, but I'd just prefer it if there was just a RJ45 port on the back of the camera!

    Got some really good quality RJ45 plugs and made sure they are rated for solid cat5 cable. it fixed all my issues! Still unsure why my cable tester showed the cable was fine, but I suspect that the tester had a better contact on the RJ45? Anyway lesson learnt to always use quality RJ45...
