No, the power source and all cabling is exactly the same....both new cameras 4k cameras give me the lines, the old ones (1080p) were installed 1 month ago and work great. using cat 6 with video balun on the end..

Hi yes..l checked on the camera GUI, I set it to 4k, 6mp and 4pm all had lines. With the 6pm, frame rate option went up to 10. Camera Gui and the dvr both say ntsc protocol. The old camera works just fine,.but both new ones are giving me the lines...

does anyone have any problems with the ethernet jacks and rust/corrosion with the conbs inside the junction box, or it is pretty much sealed to the elements..

l think 3 of the important 6 cameras l will switch over to ip the recorder is hybrid. just looking for decent 4k daua turrets so l can use the same recorder and junction boxes..l think l can get an ethernet end on the end of the 3 inch cable that is left in the box. will have to bite the bullet...

You are right. ..the only reason I went analogue was because he suggested it over IP due to what he said was problems with seeing things with IP cameras in low light conditions... l think that there is just enough wire in the box to either install an ethernet jack or crimp an ethernet connector...

Thanks for your info...so, l thought about maybe the light impacting the image if the camera was on that side of the front doors, but l guess the light will be above and a bit behind the camera, there isn't a light on the other side of the door...but then the camera may look into the light and...

so instead of on the soffit, l am better to install in the corners on the wall?
