Just playing around and I might have got it. In the Camera GUI (I used Chrome) I changed the bitrate to 16384 and it accepted it. The camera info on SS shows around that bitrate. In the settings the bitrate is still showing 8192. If you try and change it to match it just switches it back...

I just hooked one up last night and so far no drop outs or disconnects. I'm running the same Build Date. I'm running it on Synology Surveillance Station. Power is from a Unifi switch.

I use Dahua as the Brand and [Generic Dahua] as the model. Everything works such as IVS, alerts come through the DS Cam app. I've also got one of the new 4K Bullets and it runs ok too, although SS won't let me set the Bitrate above 8192.

I've got a few IPC-T5442 and a IPC-T2231T that I got from Andy and they work fine on Synology Surveillance Station.

I have the 4K Bullet running on Surveillance Station 9. I know they have different GUI's, but when I added mine it shows as Generic Dahua and the SMD and IVS show up in SS. The way I add the cameras now is to select "Add" and let SS find the cameras, then select it and go through the setup...

Well after doing some more reading I don't think I will get these as there is no auto tracking. I'll just get more of the 5442-ZE models from Andy.

I haven't gotten around to trying yet.

For the Brand I just chose ONVIF and the model All Functions. The problem I had was the camera wouldn't keep the bitrate, I use CBR. I found changing the RTSP & RTP Setting to UDP fixed it. I have other 5442's and I can leave those RTSP settings on auto. Not sure why this one doesn't work...
