    ivms4200 for Linux

Hi. I just found this when googling for solutions. I have just moved to Linux Fedora, and really need to run iVMS-4200. I clicked the link but it looks way over my head. Never heard of docker. Is there any easier way to run ivms on fedora, ideally without a VM thanks

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

We set up loads of alerts/line crossing etc in acusense in the cameras/NVR. Can these be pushed to BI?

THINK I sussed it. I did as you said, over and over, trying different things. I chose NVR, but after importing (no stream), I selected a different camera in cam dropdown, still no good but then went to PTZ and changed the default Hikvision/ABUS to DS-DF... something or other. Suddenly pan...

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

What's annoying is after i say 'yeah that's my NVR, go for it', it then reverts to RTSP. I am not asking for RTSP, i have it an http address with http port (80). Yet the next screen gives me only these options under HikVision, so it's clearly insisting on rtsp. Yet, I can tell it to use RTSP...

Yes i clicked to highlight the NVR and hit ok. next screen is that next pic. Very weird. Just doing it again to see if i missed anything

Trouble is, after adding, I just get no stream saying: Cam1: No Signal RTSP: 404 not found I didn't ask for RTSP?!!

Interestingly, I tried adding again, but didn't enter ANYTHING. I just hit find/inspect. It seems to find the NVR:

Very interesting, neat trick too. I have used VLC to get rtsp stream which I thought was super cool. :D PS I found another thread on here (via Google, SCRATCH THAT, via DuckDuckGo F*** Google :D) - What is the last version of Hikvision Storage Server I am still investigating, that version...

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

Really appreciate your trying to help. Yes putting it in front of the NVR would probably be a solution, if it weren't for the property being huge and that not really being feasible :D. Good idea though. The wiring that went into this took weeks, and the NVR is in a big outbuilding a long way...

AGGH. What is wrong with this dang forum?! Typed a long message, selected all and copied using usual CTRL-C/CMD-C (a habit of mine in case i LOSE a long post before its published!) and POOF. It happened yesterday, three times I have typed out messages! So, here we go again, summarised...

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

PS I take it the answers to my questions are: 1. - "don't know, we are not blue iris, you will need to ask them" - which is fine, thanks. 2. - "Yes storage server has been removed, you need to find older version" As for the last one, I'd be grateful if anyone knows which version of iVMS (for...

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

    1. Didn't know there was a demo. I could ask "why doesn't it say when you buy that you don't have to?!". My friend wanted it. I said to get from this site (for support I have received here). We found the page via the advert at the top of this forum and bought it. After installing it said enter...

2 Urgent Questions! (BlueIris and Hikvision iVM4200)

We bought BlueIris a few hours ago, now realise its way too complex for our needs and despite hours of trying I can’t get PTZ controls to work with Hikvision PTZ camera. No time left, I need tor refund BlueIris and go back to ivms4200. 1. Will BI refund the purchase? We didn’t use a free trial...

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

Aha. That could do with an update then! cough cough :D I think that system I am looking at should do the job nicely, I just read about support for sub streams in BI too. Thanks for the help. I will be back when it melts down ;)

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

Very interesting thanks. I am a bit confused though... I read this thread on choosing hardware - Choosing Hardware for Blue Iris That suggests I need a CPU Score of over 14000 ideally, just going by rough guess (and adding 25-50% to make sure it has plenty of ability). I think there are 10...

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

PS - I don't really know what you'd call a 'business class PC'. I have to buy a used machine for him to use, on ebay most likely. Specs needed really to get something powerful enough (without wasting money on overspecs!)

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

Thanks. I didn't even know there was a network interface for NVR. I thought you had to use iVMS or another program! Saying that, I think software will be better (just going by experience of Hikvision camera interfaces, and they always want damn InternetExplorer!) Will take a look at BlueIris...

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

I use it for around the clock monitoring of my NVR and 9 cameras attached. I use it to monitor and occasionally playback, as well as to control my PTZ. thanks

What's the best upgrade/replacement for iVMS-4200? (Paid or free)

Title says it all, ivms is buggy as hell. Ok for free, but considering getting something better, it needs to be able to do what iVMS can do (except crash, ideally) :D

    Microphone recomendations?

Thanks, nice idea but I actually need both live recording all the time.

    Microphone recomendations?

PS I actually had an idea. I only have one audio in. I wonder if I could rig up two mics and merge the signal together. Audio quality would suffer, but at least a conversation at either entrance would be covered to some degree, better than nothing. Will see if I can manage that

    Microphone recomendations?

Thanks. So I need a camera or run a mic. Since I would like two mics (two entrances), it looks like I will need to go for both so I have some learning to do! I only buy used Hikvision turret cams on fleabay, so I hope to find something with an audio input although I can't remember seeing one...

    Microphone recomendations?

I have read and still not sure I fully understand. Do I need a certain type of camera to enable this setup? I do understand that the POE splitter splits the power from the data/ethernet, then routes power to and through a mic, and then on to the camera. but my cameras all have ethernet and power...
