1080P AHD backup camera with 7 to 10" monitor?

This seems like it should be simple but doesn't seem to be. I'd like an AHD camera hooked up to a small standalone hi def mobile monitor (no DVR). I'd prefer 10" with a couple of inputs for two cameras but even a single input 7" monitor would be ok. Besides the fairly expensive AHD camera testers, there doesn't seem to be anything around. You'd think that AliExpress would have something available but my GoogleFu is failing me. There are a fair number of 720P and 1080P AHD or even IP cameras available in backup camera format but I can't seem to find a mobile monitor to display them. Even a 1024x768 monitor with AHD input would be better than the low-def stuff that's commonly available.

What's your favourite large-ish backup or mobile monitor?

There are others for as low as $40 shipped.

Add a $100 10" 1080P headrest monitor in a RAM mount and you'd be all set. I haven't found any 10" 1080P monitors yet with vehicle-worthy pedestal stands or VESA mounts.

I wonder if it'd be better putting a 12v router in the vehicle and plugging in an IP cam and using a 10" tablet? Might be hard to find one at a reasonable price that could handle 1080P decoding at significant length without shutting down, especially in the sun. It'd certainly be more versatile that a dumb monitor though.

IP cams are not suitable for use as backup cameras. First, they take time to boot up. Second, there is always going to be a bit of delay in the stream. Its a non issue for security applications but even a quarter second delay can result in a catastrophe in your application.

True and good point, but I'm using "backup cam" more as a generic descriptor than the actual task. Picture the "backup cam" mounted in a tractor and monitoring jobs that're hard for the operator to see. Startup delay is significant but not a deal breaker. The added complexity of the router/tablet solution is a significant drawback though, as would be any and all delays/lag in the system.

Framerate would probably suck at 1080P now that I think of it and that'd really be no good. Unless there are tablets that can decode a 1080P IP camera stream at 30fps? Neither my phone nor Galaxy Tab 2 come close.
