Hi all,

I've really been contemplating whether to get a 2.8mm or a 4mm lens.
I've found some sample video's/pictures on the web but it's pretty difficult to imagine it in a more real world scenario.

Therefore it would be great if people could post some of their ip cam pictures with the corresponding lens size, so hopefully it'll be possible to finally make up my mind and not regret my decision :)

Thanks a lot!

Here's a snapshot using my Hik 2432 with a 2.8mm lens on my front porch. I prefer the wider F.O.V. Hope this helps.

This one also is a Hik 2432 with a 4mm lens facing the opposite direction from the first camera.

That certainly helps, thanks for sharing.

If anyone else has pictures to share, please do :) these are very helpful

I actually wanted the second 2432 to also be 2.8mm but forgot to select that lens when I ordered the camera. The default was 4mm. It works well where it's at though. :)

Have you already seen this? http://ipvm.com/calculator
You can change focal length and select from several scenes I found it helpful, you may have already seen this though.

Is the 2032 mounted higher or is it a result of the 4mm lens that you can see the houses across the street, whereas in the 2.8mm you cant see the houses on other side of street ...

The 2.8 is on a much steeper downward angle...
