I am using DS-2CD2432F-IW for PIR triggered recording.
For some reason the recordings consist of small parts with some parts missing.

Example:
Person enters camera view, recording is triggered, recorded video is 20 seconds 18:19:52 to 18:20:12,
than 40 sec gap, and next short video starts at 18:20:58 and ends to 18:21:20. Than again gap.
The person all that time is in camera's view(right in center, so it's in PIR's range).

I would like the videos to be full length from the beginning to the end of the action which triggered this recording.

At the moment i am using ivms 4200 PCNVR for recordings, but had same problem with recording directly to cameras mini SD card(no NVR/PCNVR set-up)

What can be causing this behavior?

Guessing it's the firmware. 5.2.8 firmware is known to do this. I downgraded to 5.2.5 and all was great.

BTW that's 20 minutes, not 20 seconds :) The gap is the camera rebooting.

This may be the PIR sensor not picking up slow moving motion. Extend the recording time after motion is detected.

That's exactly the problem. PIR doesn't pick up small movement motion, will try your suggestion. thx
