I am down for this sale but struggling between the 5842 and the 5442:
Are they the same form factor (size across)? How many inches across? amazon link does not say.
WIldcats review was excellent, but I am not 100% clear - for LOWEST level light i should choose the 5442 correct? TBH the 8 and 4 look pretty darn identical to me. (I leave the porch lights off at night)

I just went with the 5442. I'll pocket the extra $64 towards a PoE switch or wire. After watching the review and side by side, the 8MP it just wasn't significant enough of an improvement. At least for a nooB like myself, hence why i asked. So i went tried and true "cant go wrong". haha ONce i get a second cam i can be convinved for the other one.

Hire a friend to come to your house and door check your cars, and back doors and look in a couple windows LOL...

When 2mp use up(1-2 months stocks), we will go to the 4mp SD49425XB-HNR, this one ALSO show end of life on dahua website, they want to sell higher price for the AT PTZ.
