2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

fair enough, one man's NATO is another man's garbage :)

Can you say if the Super PTZ is a laser IR? I don't believe it is, but maybe they got rid of the white LEDs and only have IR LEDs? Seems interesting it doubled from 250m to >500m Can't wait for the spec sheet.

@EMPIRETECANDY Andy which models for 2025 support animal detection?
I know in general you said "the 5 series IR models S3 support animal detection."
I do not know which are the 5 series.
Also, do any of the ptz do animal detection?

I would like to capture the wildlife out back of the house about 30-50 meters.

I have my eye on either a ptz (for the zoom) in the $300-$400 range or the IPC-B58IR-ZE-S3 (for the animal & 32mm focal length).
Forgot to mention I am using BlueIris & CodeProject AI.
Thanks

The first number in his camera denotation is the series, so B54IR is the 5xxx designation. A B32IR would be the 3rd series.

Then you have to see if the B5xIR series has S3 at the end. There are some B52IR that do not as an example.

Thanks wittaj thats helpful. I knew the "S3" had the animal detection. To be clear, do all the 5xxx have animal or only if it also has the S3 at the end?
I follow along but not enough to remain up on which has which features and it seems the camera descriptions do not call out animal detection for some reason.

example: IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3 does not mention animals but it does say smart object (whatever that implies).
Also, since I use BI with CPAI is animal detection built into the camera a concern? In the ideal world I can track animals AND ptz.
Appreciate the insights

Thank you too Andy!!

Yes the S3 on the 54IR series cameras indicates you can flash the firmware with animal detection.

But if you are using CPAI and are satisfied with its performance, then you don't need to worry or add the animal detection firmware.

Where this is a game changer is many would prefer to use camera AI for animal detection instead of CPAI and this now allows them to do that.

Plus it adds animal detection for all of those using an NVR and thus cannot use CPAI.

PTZ support animal detection i will make some checking with dahua.

example: IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3 does not mention animals but it does say smart object (whatever that implies).-----This will not show on the specification, have to update the firmware.
