CodeProject.AI integration updates to support version 2.06:
Rather than using a “custom models folder” setting, the software now pulls the list from the
AI directly.

If you install the Automatic License Plate Recognition module via the CodeProject.AI
dashboard, then enable ALPR on Settings/AI, the software will attempt to locate and match
license plates to vehicle objects. Plate numbers may also be used as objects for alert
cancelation and confirmation.

Admin access is now required to see the Status window and status icons.

This is great! I also want to report that I had some sort of indexing database problem that was causing DB corruption/errors almost every few hours. Also, while navigating BlueIRIS and reviewing footage, it would happen while watching live cams or reviewing clips. In the past, I performed numerous repairs and re-generations.

A few times, I also did database delete/ regenerate. The errors were all still present for months until yesterday (they would come and go) after clearing logs.

To cut a long story short, It seems like the Blueiris team has made some Great DB improvements as well.

Upon loading this new version. Blueiris 5.6.9.1 went for DB indexing, which I don't think I have ever seen before. When updating....And after that I did another Repair/Regenerate and this time Seems like The DB Corruption which I was having for alert/index is gone for good. I have not seen the error since yesterday.

I'm giving this a go. But I can't seem to find where in the AI dashboard to enable the ALPR module... Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks, I got that far, but once in the dashboard, I was looking for a button that says "click here to install alpr module"...

Ah, thank you. I must not have been upgraded with the latest update... I'm still showing 1.6.7-Beta, even though BI is 5.6.9.3. Did you have to update the CodeProject AI separately? It's showing me that 2.0.6-beta is avabile, but the download feature doesn't work.. That's with a hard refresh/reload.

Thanks, but no dice. Here's what I get after clicking on that link:

For some reason it's stripping out the file name. Let me try with Chrome instead of brave.

That was it... Brave, despite having all shields down, stripped the file name each time. Edge worked (I don't have chrome on BI server machine).

That upgrade is pretty invasive. command window has been busy for the last few minutes... Try Edge. It worked first try.

Ok, so next issue... It's showing 2.0.6-beta now, and after a restart of the system, I see all the options in your screenshot. However, after clicking "install" for the ALPR module, I get this:

It eventually shows "install" again, but as soon as I click it, it goes back to unknown. Looking at the log it says:

yes, see post above yours... we cross posted. Looks like whatever it downloaded isn't valid, and it's not going to get another copy (keeps trying to used the cached copy)

If I understood the file structure/name I'd go in and manually delete it to force a clean download.

ETA: I found the folder where the modules are installed and deleted the ALPR folder... Trying to install again now.

ETA2: Sweet, that did it. Looks like it's running. However, I'm seeing this in orange in the logs "20:08:20: Object Detection (YOLOv5 6.2): Retrieved objectdetection_queue command " Is that normal behavior or a sign that I screwed the pooch during the update?

Windows 10...

I think it's all working smoothly now, thanks for the hand-holding. I'm curious how the ALPR can be implemented in some kind of log/report. Ideally, I'd like to create a record of tags, but can't quite seem connect the dots.
