Direct PTZ positioning (via click an
d drag) has been revised to operate more like the UI3 browser interface.
Revisions have been made to the PTZ tab in camera settings, including a new button for
beta auto-tracking configuration. We welcome your feedback on this feature as it matures.
Revisions have been made to the Trigger tab in camera settings, including the placement of a
new button for continuous AI analysis as a trigger source. Previously, this very powerful
feature was buried as part of the alert confirmation’s Static Object Analysis configuration.
The AI trigger source is represented in the database as well as for action set filters.
Revisions have been made to the Alert/AI configuration, including the removal of our
integration with Sentry for AI, which has been deprecated in favor of CodeProject (or still
DeepStack) for a couple of years.

Additional updates to support changes in Google push notifications. All sounds should be
supported with this version (when used with the latest Android app). If you are still having
trouble with images, check your WAN address is reachable by an arbitrary Google server to
retrieve the image.

will this work in all pzt cameras that have auto tracking like my DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW? is there easy to follow instructions for enabling it in BI?

It works on my old SD52C225U-HNI. In fact it brought new life into my old PTZ. To enable it is fairly simple, I just followed the instructions in the help file.

a wikki file or a regular help file

Ken is still working on the direct ptz feature. I gave him access to my SD5A425GA-HNR to help him figure it out. It did work perfect using non-service mode on 5.9.8.0 but on 5.9.8.1 and on, it draws the rectangle and then just moves a little. He told me this will probably be a per camera basis issue. I am using the Dahua New v4 protocol. UI3 works perfect using this feature.

Does this direct PTZ feature move the camera smoothly? Or does it just periodically send an updated position command as an object moves through the frame? Would love to see a demo video of it working.
